Bellatrix is really making it hard for her husband to know what's going on, and Severus has now found himself right in the middle of a mystery he might wish he'd never pursued.

Walburga Black is quite the watch-dog, isn't she?  I can understand why she would want to know why someone was traipsing through her house, but she really is paranoid.  LOL!

"The summons was brought to an end when the Dark Lord beckoned for Pettigrew to feed Nagini something that looked suspiciously human-shaped, and the Death Eaters began to drift from the room."  This is just the right bit of gruesome to firmly establish that the Dark Lord is still vicious and still crazy.  He and Bellatrix make a well-matched couple.

This is an interesting premise.  Snape and Bellatrix having a child is a plot ripe for exploration, so good for you! 

I'm gonna head on over to the next chapter and see just how much trouble Severus can drum up for himself!

I love how you've described the resemblance of the girl to Snape.  It's certainly clear enough to the reader, but it's not overpowering and isn't detracting from the unfolding story.  I like how gentle she is, and her relationship with Dobby is obviously a great comfort to her. 

Very interesting that it hasn't occurred to Severus that Hydra might be his. I think he is in for a surprise.

Cliffhangers. I hate them. OMG! This story is SO awesome! Hahaha poor Snapey doesn't know that he is about to see his own child! Can't wait until you update! Thank you so much for the chapter!

That was quite a risk Snape took apparating blindly. He could have ended up in front of Bella and Druella and I don't think they would have invited him for tea :). I liked your phrase about waitng for the dark lord being worse than meeting him.... Looking forward to discovering if my theory about the girl and Bella is correct.

If I were the betting type I would guess that Bellatrix had Severus' child. The name Hydra is interesting. Wonder how she came up with that. Looking forward to more.

Is Draco her intended?  I can see Bellatrix viewing him as the heir apparent.  This is before Dumbledore's murder, right?  Poor Snape, what a way to find out you have a child....
