I hope this means that he has finally moved on to a better place.
Response from diabolica (Author of In Transit)
I leave that to the reader's discretion. :)
Very subtle - showing us who you are talking about, without telling us. And at the end I am not sure if I am sad or happy for him.I'm interested to know why you chose Lake Peipsi.
Response from diabolica (Author of In Transit)
Thank you so much for this kind review! I think every writer hopes to hear that they've shown rather than told. *g*
Why Lake Peipsi? Because that's where the apothecary told me that she lived. I don't mean to be flippant, but I find that when I write I have to let the characters tell me the story. If I try to impose a story on the characters, it just doesn't work.Elegant yet movingĀ in it's subtlety.

Thank you very much! I'm very pleased to know you thought so.
Profoundly wistful; the haunting touch of a captured vortex: 'a place between worlds' - beautiful; the symbolism of the list of ingredients - especially pomegranates, the apothecary's final observation on our dear stranger - really lovely!
Response from diabolica (Author of In Transit)
Thank you! What a thoughtful review. I love that you noted the symbolism behind the ingredients mentioned here, as they were chosen specially. Your comments are always so exacting and such a pleasure to read. :)
This is very well written and atmospheric... but are we to conclude that the pomegranate lost its efficacy?
Response from diabolica (Author of In Transit)
Thank you! 'Well written and atmospheric' is a great compliment.
As to your question, once the story is written, it's out of my hands. So you're free to interpret as you see fit the meaning of 'the next world', which was deliberately left ambiguous. Of course, we know from canon that Harry himself found a place between worlds in DH. But as far as I know, there's no rule that says such a place must be a train station. ;)
