Yay! This was really, really good. You can just see how easily it all began. How easy it will become to take an interest in all things dark. Something about this story just really made me love it and you know this drabble business isn't my favorite so that means a lot. Nice job!Incidentally, this wouldn't be a normal review from me unless I mention the fact that when I saw the prompt of, "a magical artifact in an unexpected place," my mind went straight into the gutter. Remember back when my mind didn't go those places. Oh you wouldn't, it ended as soon as we met ;)

*dies laughing* I was thinking the SAME THING!!! It was a little injoke with myself that I chose a wand as my magical artifact when I could have chosn anything; I nearly veered into the inappropriate, and then I changed my mind. *grins* It was all of that PIE innuendo ...But I thank you for your compliments. I was TOTALLY frazlled when I wrote this. I was so late, and I wrote it in about 10 minutes while I was in a preschool parking lot. I was on the phone, and it was just chaos. I was sure I was out. I can't believe I made it through to the n ext round. Keep those fingers crossed; we're down to the final 3!
