Upon reflection, it was a really stupid idea. Written in honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Reviews for Beware Your Own Suggestion
Really wonderful, funny, enjoyable banter! Bravo, Remus - knew there was a smoothy in him somewhere - and brava, Lily! Nice to see James' ego miffed a bit! Thank you!

Thank you! I had a lot of fun with this. It seemed to me that with such awful pick up lines flying through the air, Remus would probably use something a little more earnest and therefore effective. ;)
I don't know if i should pity James because he has done nothing to annoy her. But maybe it's just payback for the sand in the books.

He was a sort of ring-leader, daring the others like that. It's probably payback for a great many things. ;) Thanks for the review!
Absolutely loved it. Great incorporation of pirate talk, innuendo and female intelligence. Arrr Matey! Great story.

Thank you! I'm so glad to have found someone who enjoys pirate day, too! The pick-up lines just seemed to lend themselves to this particular group of people.
I'll forgive you for letting Remus off the hook since you let Sirius get slapped for his efforts, but I still haven't forgiven Lupin for running out on his pregnant wife.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Beware Your Own Suggestion)
Odd to realize that the wife he will one day leave--for an unspecified length of time--is about four or five years old when this story happens. Anyhow, Remus is sort of the happy medium between the hapless Wormtail and the overconfident James and Sirius. That's why I figured he might succeed where the others failed. Or maybe he used Lily's approach. I'm glad you liked this. I know you mostly despise the Marauders to a man.
Ooooh, aahhhh! Wonderful! :)

Thank you! I read a list of pirate pickup lines and the Maurauders simply come to mind. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
