55 year old UK female with nothing better to do with her time than read fanfic (and occassionally d(r)abble a little herself). Married with 3 kids (two girls and a boy, 22, 18 & 14 years). Been with husband Brian for *gulp* 30 years; we met digging up bodies in the same cemetery - seriously :}

Thank you for the lovely review :)
What I like most about your story is in canon Snape doesn't like to look at Harry because he has Lily's eyes while you let him heal by looking at his past through her eyes.I would like to see a sequel as well, though I can imagine that a sort of separate story set some time later after both Severus and Hermione have taken steps in their lives as a result of this closure (and are now ready for taking a next step together :-) would work as good for me as an actual 'chapter 2'.

Thank you. I'm pleased that you like the way this worked out.Actually, I like that idea - I can't really see a good point to continue this, but something set a step or two away from it might work :)But don't hold your breath.

That was exactly my feeling about it! I understand you can't promise us a second story, but if there is any way your muse can be bribed, persuaded, inspired or seduced just let me know ;-) *sends boxes of chocolates in any flavor that muse might like together with response*.
A very good story. My only complaint is the possible misspelling of reigns for reins. I'm not sure if you meant a period of ruling (reign) or allowing Hermione control (rein). Other than that, it's very entertaining and open ended enough for us to imagine almost any scenario. ^_^

Gah - you're right. It makes it worse that that's one of my pet peeves, too.Thanks for the review. I thought leaving it open ended worked better :)
I like this. It would be so nice if Severus could resolve all of his feelings after what he's endured.
Response from DawnEB (Author of Something Borrowed)
Thank you. I agree, it would be nice to clear the air and give him a proper second chance.
This was very interesting. Perhaps it wasn't only Severus who needed closure:) I quite liked this; it stands on its own merits, but I would read a sequel with avid interest, as well:)Warm regards,Fizzabella

Thanks for the nice review. Certainly Hermione seems to have her doubts exposed. There are a lot of possibilities opened up for them now, and the idea of a sequel is interesting, but I'm not sure I feel strongly enough about it to pursue them.
Interesting start, looking very much forward to follow the development. I think Lilys thoughts about how the future could be with Ron will help her to se they are not compatible and that the chance of happines with him is slim

oh I se now that it was a one-chater fic

I preferred to leave it open like that, there are so many possibilities now they've had a chance to talk about things with Lily (but yes, I'm secretly rooting for Severus to end up as more than a friend ).
He really did need to get Lily in perspective. :)

He did :) Thanks for the review
