A lovely snap-shot of the friendship between Severus and Narcissa.

Thank you!!!
i like your writing style but apart from exposing a somewhat softer side of lucius i don't quite see the point of this tale.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)The idea was that this event was a first step on the road to Snape making the Unbreakable Vow. Of course, interpretation is ultimately up to the reader.
I liked Pyttan's idea that this sets the groundwork for Severus' willingness to enter an Unbreakable vow with Narcissa. It also served to give us a look at the "other" lives that Death Eaters lived when not dancing to Voldemort's tune. They lived in homes and loved their wives and children like every other wizard. Then they attended the matters at hand.

Thank you! I'm sure many things must have happened to make Snape take the Vow; this was just one idea of where it all started. I'm chuffed as anything that this gave you a slice of the Malfoys' home life, though.
Another wonderful intimacy captured between Narcissa and Severus! Thank you! p.s. More, more, more!

Why, thank you for reading and letting me know your thoughts! Let's see what more Snape & Narcissa I can drag out of my muse. ;)

Please do! You've completely enlightened me (or delectably corrupted me -- depending on how one looks at it) to the ways of Narcissa's world! I've completed dove into it, never to be the same;) Looking forward to more, when you and your muse feel like sharing her more - thanks!

Heeeee! I'll take responsibility for delectable corruption any day. :)Another one down!!!!
This is just so good. Well written as always. And those little things like Severus insecurity when it comes to personal relationships. I love this little insight in how Severus eventually ended up with such a strong connection to Draco and Narcissa that he was willing to give them The Unbreakable Vow. Or am I totally wrong in my interpretation?
Response from diabolica (Author of Covenant)
Aw, honey. Thank you!Your interpretation is spot-on, in fact. Or at least, that's what I was hoping to get across: that Snape is bound to the Malfoys, and to Draco in particular, in ways that not even he fully undertands. I figure a series of things must have happened to make him feel responsible enough for Draco to take the Vow (even though other reasons were paramount in that decision).I'm so glad you liked this! :)
That's really cute in a way. It's almost like a brother-sister moment with it's own sort of family dyamics and loyalties.
Response from diabolica (Author of Covenant)
Aw, thanks! Yes, family dynamics are just what I was going for. ;)
Heartwarming and lovely! I so love it when authors show Narcissa and Lucius some love. :)
Response from diabolica (Author of Covenant)
Narcissa and Lucius deserve lots of love, don't they? :) Thanks for this lovely review!
It was the right thing to do. :)

I think so too. :) Thanks!
