Good grief!  100 words is never enough.  And yet somehow, you've told an entire story with just that.  I really like this one.  I do have to laugh at, "the chips still warm in his pocket."  Was he wearing his tux in the casino so he could play right up until he was called for his turn at the alter, or is he getting married in blue jeans?  He'll do better at his next wedding, LOL.

Response from Keppiehed (Author of The Gambler)

*laughs* hahaha! I never thoughts of that. Um. He had a backyard BBQ wedding? Come as you are? You're right, though; 100 words is never enough. You should come join the competition. It's a lot of fun!

Is he really thinking that while marrying someone?

Response from Keppiehed (Author of The Gambler)

Aren't you glad you aren't her? Thanks for reading!

Life's a gamble, marraige more so. :)

Response from Keppiehed (Author of The Gambler)

You know, I think you may be right. Although, I wouldn't want to be in her shoes, with him thinking it so blatantly!

That was a nice sharp piece! Good use of the prompt too!

Nice!

Author's Response: Thanks! Drabbles are not my strong suit, and alas, I lost the contest. But fun to do, nonetheless, and I thank you for taking the time to read my humble offering!
