The actual speech might be all JKR's, but I think you captured perfectly what must be going through Snape's mind as he gave that speech, year after year. Not only priceless, but perfectly in character as well. Kudos!

As a fellow teacher, I think many of us have these thoughts at the beginning of term. I know I do. (No, I am not one of those who teachers out of the goodness of their heart. I am one of those evil beings who spoils kids' fun by making them learn. Okay, rant over.) Glad you liked it, and thank you for the shiny stars :)
