my catalyst into the world of hp fanfic was the ignominious death of severus snape by snakebite in dh. grrrrr. he deserved better, and i set off on a mission to find it! i appreciate and admire the vast and limitless creativity of all of the wonderful writers on this site and in this fandom.
accordingly, for me it's mostly about snape: ss/le, ss/hg, ss/rl are my favorite ships. i especially like happy endings for those who did not get them at the hands of jkr.

I really wish for a better ending for Severus. His heart torn, how could anyone turn out any different than him? Great job in describing their last encounter, but still, I don´t like Lily one bit. How sad, yet beautifully phrased.

the prince's tale in dh is what brought me to fandom. the tragic story of snape's friendship and unrequited love for lily, his guilt and pain and broken heart, and then his ignominious death by snakebite. the first story i wrote was stealing glances, and that was my attempt to come to terms with what we learned in that book about their friendship. so snily was my first ship, but it's so sad to write except for the occasional snapshot. i wrote one called 'the first time' that's just a sweet snapshot of their friendship and not so sad. but mostly i do hew close to canon, so there's not a lot of wiggle room there. :((with snupin, however, i feel free to reject the deaths of both characters of my otp, lol.)thank you so much for reading so many of my stories and taking the time to leave reviews. that's the kind of thing that makes for a very happy kitty. :D

Well then, we have a thing in common. It was the magical prince´s tale. The "original" heartbreaking chapter. Well, I still have some reading to do then! :) When I like the work of an author, I tend to read the whole other stories, that catch my eye (except for certain pairings I absolutely don´t like) With my favourite being snucius (and yes, snupin is not that bad either, you kinda love that one, huh? it becomes tasty after reading your stories, hehe.) Well, I´m happy when you are, then! You are welcome!

i think the prince's tale caught a lot of us. :)i was a little worried you might be opposed to snupin - i'm glad you aren't - that would turn you away from most of my stories, lol. a lot of the non-snupins i've written were for challenges. it's good to step outside my comfort zone sometimes, but yeah, snupin is my truest hp love, it seems. thanks again for all the positive feedback. it is very encouraging. :D
It's good to see she does care about him, but this small amount of salve is not enough to heal his emotional wounds.

alas, no. poor severus. i so wish things would have worked out differently for him in canon. luckily, we have fanfic to fix it all. (erm. not that this one fixed anything for him.) thanks for reviewing. :D
Very sad. No resolution really for the two of them. He'll always know she was tempted though. :)

at least he has that. i will tell you a secret - when i wrote this, my original goal was to give snape a little more "resolution" (*wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*) but alas it did not work out that way and turned into this sad snippet instead. *sigh* i'll try harder next time! thanks for reviewing. :D

Some of your very best writing. Heartwrenching and beautiful at once.
Bitterness is also weakness. I imagine it's the one weakness that bothered him immeasurably over those long years after her death, for myriad reasons.
No crit. Just lovely pacing, a very natural flow, and the feeling of there being no author, just this scene being witnessed. Well done, Kitty.
Author's Response: thank you so much for this wonderful review, becky! when i read this over again today before uploading, i felt pretty pleased with it, so it's lovely to have my perception validated by you. :D :D :D
