Reviews for Conquered
*SHUDDER * Can I come out from under the bed now ? I will have to sleep with the light on after that one. Seriously though, wow Ron is usually a figure of fun, never taken seriously, but you gave him such courage and dignity, and not a little plain rat cunning, he is quite a man Molly would be proud of him.
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
Oh dear, I had forgotten about this one! This wasn't my favorite story, but I like a challenge. I remember it was written as part of a community gift exchange, and even if it wasn't to my personal taste, I think the person who requested it liked Ron a lot. I have several stories like that, they were just written to spec for whomever requested them. It's fun to see what I can come up with for the prompt. I'm glad it stayed true to the characters even if it was a tad dark.
Excellent portrayal of both Draco and Ron; Draco's come into his own element as an expert manipulator, and really enjoyed Ron's defiance, as futile as it may be. Great capturing of an eery, dark atmosphere/tone.
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
This one was commissioned, so I had to write what was asked for a gift. I am glad to hear that they both were in character; I had never written breathplay before, and I was concerned about how to pull off those two in a scene. Thanks so much for your excellent reviews; they are more than ego-boosting, they are a source of good info about how the story works. Thanks again!
Well I found this site by a recc to another story. I looked for Ron/Draco because go figure there are people who like that pairing. I'll just read the stories and leave the comments to the author. I liked the fic and all the darkness. Don't bother responding. You did the prompts but you have no care for the pairing and say so. Personally I don't get why you'd do it and do it well btw if you're just going to put it down. :(
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
I try to bring my best to the pairing and do it justice, even if it isn't my personal preference. I like to show that I can leave my preferences at the door and write a good story for the person who requested it. No offense intended; we don't have the same tastes, but I can help bring people's visions to the page!
I trully wonder if I should read it or non considering the warnings. I did it and now I've mixed feelings. You depicted the characters really well, but the subject is really too dark for me.
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
I thank you for being open minded. My hands were tied with the list of prompts, and I didn't have much leeway. It wasn't my cup of tea either, to be perfectly honest with you. I had to give what the person asked for, but I am glad you gave it a try, and I am sorry that it wasn't to your taste. They can't all be winners. The next one is going to be some fluff for you, so perhaps you will enjoy that more. Thanks for reading and reviewing, I do appreciate it!

found dead at her computer Monday night after reading some garbage about Draco and Ron. She is survived by her good friend Keppiehed who apparently was not really all that good of a friend after all. Please send all donations of fluffy stories in

's memory to TPP.You know I am kidding, my dear. This totally sucked, but you write it so damn well *is desperate for something so sickly sweet, it rots my teeth*
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
Awww .... I know. *pets you* You saw that prompt. My hands were tied! I thought you might like that I made Ron pretty dignified, though. It about killed me to make Draco so depraved, and to be lusting after RON, of all people, so you can bet that that sword had a double edge this time. Take delight in the fact that we were both crying over it.As for fluff, you've got a Snarry fluff coming your way, and I was prompted a Buckbeak/Hagrid that will probably be funny. And then the dreaded Dubledore/Filch. If that doesn't make us all razy by the end, I'm not sure what will. By then, we won't care about Ron tied up and ravaged by Draco.YOur review made me laugh. Poor you. You must be a friend to put up with all my crazy stories!
Response from HBAR (Reviewer)
I thought you might like that I made Ron pretty dignified, though. You know, it hadn't occurred to me to consider that you really did do him justice as a character. I mean I noticed it, but was so busy trying to find the number for a good therapist, I hadn't considered that it could have been worse where his character is concerned *Hugs you. And Ron. Come on now, a little group hug never hurt anyone. You can tell folks I forced you if you need to keep your dignity intact*You might think that this would have me begging for Ron/Trelawney, but we still haven't fallen THAT far!
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
The ONLY reason you are group hugging me is because you haven't seen inside the head that knows where the rest of the story goes. People have been begging for sequels to this, you know. Of course, I have politely declined, but it has forced me to consider which one would win their battle of wills. And I had no agreement with the author on the sequel. Just making note of that. So, it's lucky I ended that where I did, you know? Lucky for RON.
*whimpers and peeks out between fingers* Is it safe to come out now? Is the scary blond gone? *Picks up whip and stiffens spine* Right. Any more of that and you'll be in detention writing Harry and Ginny and lots of babies with cute fwuffie hair and chubby widdle pink cheeks and... *takes a calming breath* or Snape... on his own...naked. ;)Okay, okay. I admit, it was scary but well done. :)
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
Oh, man. Don't make me write Harry and Ginny. That's the scariest thing of all!I just entered the hp_challengefest, and it looks like you've got some real humdingers to look forward to. So hold onto your hat, it is going to get weird. But not for a little while yet. We have some time to settle in. And in the meantime, I will hope that people wil stop prompting me all this Ron! Because there is only one thing I can do with a Weasley ... and it isn't pretty! They either seem to get tortured or end up with Trelawney!
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
*imagines a little fic about Ron's internal monologue during sixth year with Lav-lav.* ;)

That was very good read, and I found myself on the edge of my seat. The breathplay was a turn off (Ask me about that sometime), but it was an intense piece.
Good work!
Author's Response: Ah, I didn't have much wiggle room with the prompts. I didn't much relish the whole thing myself, but I aim to please the asker. Hm. I seem to remember being in a similar situation a few months back concerning a backwards child and a cat o' nine tails? *coughs delicately and grins*
I'm glad that you found something to like, even if it wasn't to your taste. You are gracious in your compliments, as always!
Crivens, woman! This is dark. It made my skin crawl thinking of poor, brave Ron in the dank dungeons, and Draco is so... yeuch!
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
Oh, Ron. Bah! He'll be just fine, the big baby. I'm more worried about how depraved they wanted me to write Draco. Those two would never suit, I don't get that whole pair-up. But it isn't for me to judge, after all. Can you believe that I just recently had someone ask for a Dudley/Draco, and what's worse, a Ron/Trelawney? *shakes head* My readers, I tell you, a nutty bunch ...
Response from quaffswinegaily (Reviewer)
I'd shake my head too, but it makes my brain rattle.
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
Mine too. I just got prompted a Buckbeak/Hagrid and a Dumbledore/Filch (with a caveat on the last one that it be a loving relationship) Commence brain rattle!
Response from quaffswinegaily (Reviewer)
What? Where is your brain?
Response from Keppiehed (Author of Conquered)
Apparently they hitched a train with my wits and are long gone.
