Reviews for To Ride the Rising Sun
But when, at the end of his second week of residence, Fred-the-dragon had shed his skin—moulting in a flurry of crimson and flame—and had looked Severus straight in the eye as if expecting him to follow suit, he’d decided the beast had to go.
Today.
I remembered this scene, for some reason, and had to find the story - of course I didn't remember the name of it. But Shefa-Snape-Luna worked in a Google search. This is FUNNY. And endearing and charming and even a bit whimsical.
So what if stories don't spring into your head fullly formed? The agony of moulting the dragon skin is part of the creative process. Keep creating. You Are a Writer.
A menagerie seems to be a perfect fit for Luna, I'm glad she and Severus are happy together.
That was fabulous. I love reading Luna and Severus and that was really lovely.

Thank you for taking the time to let me know :) I'm so glad you enjoyed this, and I'm sorry it took me so long to reply to your lovely review.
Lovely. Luna and a menagerie are a natural match, and Luna has always seemed to me such a healing character. I love seeing more of her. Thank you.

I do agree with you. Luna is so naturally and intuitively healing. I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Thank you! And apologies for taking so long to reply...
This made my heart swell with love, hope, appreciation, and something else undescribable. It was a great way to start the day. Luna is one of my favorite characters, but not one that I usually imagine with Severus. Your portrayal was a joy to read.

*beams I'm thrilled! Thank you :) I'm just so delighted that you enjoyed this so much. Thank you for letting me know, and I apologize for taking so long to reply.
This, oh, it's lovely! I like the idea of the Menagerie calling to people, bringing them to itself by helping them love another creature. I have to wonder if Ollivander's does the same thing, though i doubt that's a part of this story. But the story we're in is more than enough. It feels good, complete, and warm. Even if this isn't a one-shot, it has a nice feeling of finality.

Ooh, I like your theory. I like the idea of magical entities calling to one another for the purpose of healing and love. :) This is, indeed, a one shot, so I'm glad it feels complete. Thanks so much for reading and for the thoughtful review :) I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond!
Ah I thought it might be you. I was thinking this story is written it that wonderful way the other story was. That was very entertaining. I've never read a SS/LL sory. That was wonderful.

Aww, thank you! This was my second Snuna, the first also for their gift exchange (As to a Portrait, Gently Drawn). Thanks for reviewing (and reading!), and apologies for my delayed response to your lovely review.
