Reviews for The New Dinner Table
Love that Draco is "Dad" ,and teaching his son well.

Thank you, again! I think the fact that Draco, himself, took Scorpius to the train station, knowing that there would be whispers and looks, shows what sort of dad he is.

Sorry, it is the writing, I enjoy. Dog jumped on my lap while I was trying to type.

LOL! I read what you intended and didn't even notice! I guess it's late, here. You're very kind. Thank you, again!

It's a beautiful sunny winters afternoon, here in Australia.

OMG this is wonderful! :) I enjoy Draco and Scorpius stories. Very well done, not too overdone, if you know what I mean. :P
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
Thank you! You're very kind. I like parent/child conversations, too.
The only way to stop something like that from happening again is to talk about what happened with our children and grandchildren. Well done!Beth

Thank you! I saw the prompt and that exact thought popped into my head.
OK. Time to ban "Uncle Greg" from alone time with the boy. :)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
I agree. I need to write a followup drabble now. ;) Thanks for the review!
Oh, well done! Not to mention a very powerful father-son moment for Draco and Scorpius. But I agree with Snitchette, a follow up story involving Draco having a word with 'Uncle Greg' would be a very good thing.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
I think I have a prompt for this coming Saturday! ;) Thanks, on both counts!
Sometime children say things they don't know about. I think Draco should maybe have a talk with his great friend instead of his son.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
Thanks! I think a talk to Greg might be useful, too.
That was a nice answer to the prompt! Well done, Rose!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
Thank you! I didn't realize we wrote about the same prompt until after mine was submitted to the queue. I like that we told the same story from two different points in Draco's life.
Poor Draco...he sees there's a chance in which to stop the cycle of hatred, and hopefully has been able to act in time with Scorpius. Although it sounds as though Greg didn't learn his lesson the way Draco did, and let's not hope that he ever has any kids of his own!Nicely told, and a private important moment between father and son.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
Thank you! One can hope that the cycle can stop if it's caught at just the right time.
Good lesson for his son not to use that spell again.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
Thanks! He was in a rare position of being able to explain what the spell is like.

Macabre and interesting moment skillfully told.
Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
I hope it made a lasting impression on Scorpius.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of The New Dinner Table)
I'm sure Scorpius was never quite so thoughtless again. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
