I’m a 40-something British woman, residing in the Ribble Valley in north-west England. I’m a pharmacist and a counsellor. My penname, Agnus Castus, is a herbal remedy for women’s hormone problems. I also co-write with The Snapettes.
I can also be found in the Facebook group "Muffliato!" for folks who appreciate SS/OC fanfic.

Well written. I really enjoyed the idea of the fire mimicking Severus. Great image.

You know, I listened to "Bliss" just yesterday and recalled swooping around the dance floor in Severus's arms... Sigh!
The ending - what a zinger - so bittersweet/sad. I also love the Oc without a name -- there's such a myteriousness, yet spot-on, identifiable sympathy with her. '..sometimes we sort too soon...' always brings up deeply painful thoughts of 'what if?' Thank you - really beautiful (and enjoyable) work!

, and I'm with you on the "What if?"I decided to leave the OC without a name because, even though the tale was from her point of view, her name was of no relevance to Snape. And it was awfully sad to write. I'm glad you enjoyed my bittersweet story!
Loved it the first time I read it and still do. Thanks for posting it here and giving me an excuse to read it again.

Thank you for reading and reviewing again!
She feels used and he doesn't get the person he really wants. How sad.

Yes, it's a sad situation. Thanks for reviewing.
This a lovely piece. Heartbreaking and tender, yet hot and steamy at the same time. Not an easy balance to get right. I love that we don't know her identity, it gives her a sense of mystery and adds intrigue. Severus is very in character, and I love the way you skilfully weave your narrative into canon events.

Thanks very much,

. The reason I decided not to name the OC was because her identity is ultimately of no consequence to Snape. As sad as that is.
