Ear plugs can be useful, but as they are Wizards maybe they can set Silencing Spells. If it's not enough there is also Sound Proofing Charms...

*snork* Oh dear! Poor Weasleys - they really should have soundproofed that room. Even if they hadn't been having sex, Harry and Snape were due to make some noise.
