Reviews for Ghost of a Chance
This is really quite creepy, how many other girls has S.S. lured to his den?
Response from Amita (Author of Ghost of a Chance)
If we take his word for it, it is a long time between the best.
Wow. That was something. I like how we both took the same prompt and wrote something so different, but still there are similarities.
Response from Amita (Author of Ghost of a Chance)
I tried to develop Salazar, perhaps unwisely since it would take me two thousand words to do him justice. :)
Wow, what a romantic! But with such Slytherin tendencies, I have to wonder if there's some consequences to what will be happening to her tonight.
Response from Amita (Author of Ghost of a Chance)
Thanks. The drabble tried to present him as both a romantic and a manipulator. There will certainly be consequences. They could range from her not surviving the encounter to her acquiring a soul-mate.

Well, see, that's what I was thinking!
Hmmmm, interesting to say very the least! A whole new spin on the HG/SS ship, except that the "SS" in this case is Salazar Slytherin! I don't know (and am not entirely certain I want to know) how a ghost would manage to be -- *ahem* -- physically intimate with a living human. It sounds rather kinky, frankly! Seriously, though...this story does seem a little far-fetched, given that Hermione is a Muggleborn and Salazar Slytherin was prejudiced against them. (Going off topic for a moment...am I the only one who finds it odd that the Sorting Hat wanted to put Harry in Slytherin? Couldn't it tell that Harry was the Chosen One and therefore shouldn't be in Slytherin because he'd be in constant danger from those among his housemates who are the children of Death Eaters?
Response from Amita (Author of Ghost of a Chance)
Who was Salazar? This story assumes wizard history has omissions and distortions equivalent to ours. The canon Slytherin creed could be abhorrent to him. The story does hint, however, that he is prone to excess.Kinky? And spicy!Going off topic with you, I agree the sorting scene does not make sense. My view is (probably the commonplace one) that it is the Temptation-Of-Harry. He rejects fame and fortune tinged with evil in favor of friendship and justice. From an abused eleven-year old?
Another type of HG/SS! I like it!
Response from Amita (Author of Ghost of a Chance)
I hadn't thought about the potential before, but I discovered I had to omit considerable material to manage a drabble.
Well, that's a bit chilling, but also quite cool.

Yes, underneath the atraight narrative, there is the thought of what is actually happening.
Well, he is the Founder of Slytherin for good reason it appears. ;)

Your review is very welcome. I wasn't certain I could do SS justice since I'm not the sneaky type. :)
Haunting and beautiful, searing wit and seductive charm, truly enjoyed this depiction of Salazar and Hermione, such a brilliant creation based on and formed from the given prompt--rich, engaging content of narrative

Thanks. It tried to depict a romantic encounter between two strong personalities - reaching out and trying to overcome the obstacles because they need each other.
