Chapter 1 of 1
kyriaofdelphiViktor bests Ron at several things.
ReviewedViktor had a plan. He was tired of never having Hermione to himself in the evenings after classes. Weasley was always hanging around, whinging about his unfinished homework.
One night in March, Viktor challenged Weasley to a Wizard Chess game. The wager was an embarrassing one for Ron; if he lost, he would have to admit he fancied Hermione and provide Viktor’s choice of sweets from Honeydukes for a month.
Viktor knew Weasley considered himself the Hogwarts' Wizard Chess champion; it was going to be easy.
Before the game started, Viktor surreptitiously sprinkled catnip all over Weasley and used a bit of wandless magic to make Weasley temporarily allergic to Crookshanks.
The ensuing hilarity entertained everyone who was watching the extremely unequal game. Ron couldn’t get Crookshanks to leave him alone, with the cat crawling into his lap just as he was ready to make a move. That set Ron to sneezing repeatedly.
Finally, Ron had made so many ineffective moves that Viktor checkmated him. Ron now had to buy the Bulgarian seeker Cinnamon Sugar Quills for a month and tell Hermione he fancied her.
HermioneDiggory’s prompts were: Viktor Krum, wizard chess, an embarrassing wager,
Quidditch, a mysterious allergy, Honeydukes

That boy should be in Slytherin. And I'm amazed his close presence wasn't enough to mess with Ron's mind.

Viktor had been taught the old adage that "all's fair in love and war" early on. He knew he was going to beat out Ron in the long run, but decided to give things a push anyway. And Durmstrang boys could teach the Slytherins a thing or two. LOL.

Hmmm...
Not a lot of life there; almost read like a diagram.
That being said, it was clear and easy to follow.

LOL Two points for Bulgaria! Isn't that cheating though? Making your opponent allergic to a familar! And catnip - of course Crooks now loved Ron so much! But Ron can't afford his wager - so that's equally cruel!

All's fair in love and war. Cheating is allowed if you think of it first. Viktor would have been gracious and let Ron off the Sugar Quills part of the bet, I'm sure. But this was fun, wasn't it? Thanks for reading & reviewing.
