Reviews for A Valentine's Quartet
Very sweet!
I meant to review earlier, but just wanted to say belatedly that I loved every bit of this! I thought the four parts worked really well together, and your different styles ended up helping show how much Severus changed. Completely fell in love with the insecure teenager sitting in the great hall...waiting, hoping, thinking of James and his barrage of valentines from Peter... That whole section was funny and sweet and sad all at the same time. Then the young man who laughs and gives Bella precisely what she deserves (hilarious, by the way, and the lead-up was perfect); then the professor who probably hasn’t laughed once, at least since Lockhart arrived ;-) Adored the description of him listening to the speech, and the contrast between that and his next Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts which was just…wow. The bit about Sinistra was absolutely heartbreaking, and eerily believable. So if you hadn't guessed, I'm definitely hoping there'll be more collaborations in future. And thank you, Ms Dulac, for adding two new Snape-loving authors to my must-read list :-)

. What a very good point about each writer's style picking up on different aspects of Snape's growth/change. It was a most enjoyable collaboration, so who knows, there may be more where that came from. Ms Dulac says hi, BTW, and the two new Snape-loving authors are well chuffed by your comments and send a big thank you your way.
How sad it was for Severus that he never got a Valentine besides the one from Lily and the one from his student. I wish things could have been different. My favorite part was when Severus gave Bella her comeuppance. Nicely done!Beth

There is such a lot to feel sad about for Severus. It's hard to imagine that he ever received an abundance of Valentine's throughout his difficult life. At least he had his moment of revenge with Bella.Thank you so much for reading and sharing your thoughts.
That's so sad. Poor Sev.
Response from The Snapettes (Author of A Valentine's Quartet)
Yes it is sad, but everything about this point in his life is pretty difficult. It is fortunate, therefore that he goes on to survive the Shrieking Shack and find eventually finds lurve -(at least he does in fanfiction).Thank you for reading and reviewing.
This is a very good story, Snapettes! Or I should call it a series of stories. Excellent and touching. a wonderful valentine for all of us. Thank you!

, we are very glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to read and review.
Dear The Snapettes.Great story. LOVED the way he handled Bella. The final segment was my favorite, however. Having to implement such horrible disciplinary methods just to "scare off" the one person who might actually believe in you, let alone care for you ... how awful!

Hi ContessaWe're very glad you enjoyed the story. It's always good to see Bella getting what she deserves. His life during his Headmaster stint was pretty dire to say the least, I suppose at least it must have been comforting to know that he could inspire affection, even if he was obliged to destroy it ultimately. Poor Severus!Thank you kindly for your review. The Sapettes.

*Or maybe even, The Snapettes.*
Very well written and interesting senerios for Valentines Day. It would have been nice to have seen him survive the war and finally had the love he deserved.Excellent story.
Response from The Snapettes (Author of A Valentine's Quartet)
Thank you very much. We decided to set the Valentine's scenarios during canon time, so any happy-ever-afters will have to be left to the imagination in this case. We're very glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks for reviewing.
Excellent job to the masters and keepers of Severus' heart.JCappoen

Very well written, Snapettes, thanks for four great little stories that were greedily consumed like dark chocolate truffles filled with angst, humor, and longing.I have to confess that the second one was my favorite... what a fitting revenge Severus inflicted on Bella. Good to see that he was much too smart and wise to ever touch the likes of her.Well done!
Response from The Snapettes (Author of A Valentine's Quartet)
Well we are happy to have provided the truffles for your greedy consumption, HermioneDiggory. Severus really does lend himself to angst, humour and longing doesn't he?Of course he is too smart for Bella. She simply isn't worthy of our Severus. Thanks for your review.
