I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

LOL, me too! I pictured her throughout this. And Giselle from Enchanted. She was my inspriation. Thanks, my kimjo.
I wish I could wish for a soulmate..
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Mmmm, well, you can! It just might take a little longer to find that special person. :)
So she finally opened up. Yeay!I can hardly wait for her conversation with Severus.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Yep, she had the teeniest of tiniest of inklings of belief. She's dang lucky that's all it took. LOL
If only relationships were this easy! I wish...
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
LOL, yeah, wouldn't that be heaven? That's probably why they're not.
All right, Hermione's made her breakthrough! And now for the hard part... Learning about and understanding each other will probably still be difficult for these two, especially with such a prickly porcupine like Severus. But with two wishes behind it, it will have to work out in the end! I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Arista and Zora--at the very least, they need to show up for the wedding, right?Keep those chapters coming, please!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
lol! I wouldn't doubt they would show up for the wedding! They seem like the sort that would kill to be at such an event. Well, maybe not kill...Glad you're enjoying this.
This story has been growing on me slowly and now I can safely say that I can hardly wait for an update. Keep up the good work. :)
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
:D Sweetness! I'm so glad that it's growing on you... (not like a fungus, right?) More to come soon.
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! FINALLY!!! Oh I can't wait to see what happens now between the pair..This ought to be interesting...LOL! Well done!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Thank you! Yes indeed... FINALLY! Too bad those fairies couldn't pop up and hit her over the head with their wands. LOL
You know it would be extremely hilarious if this fairy WAS only a figment of his imagination, trying to convince himself to grow some balls and approach Hermione.Although if this was true, he'd probably imagine someone less flighty. She's got some serious Luna Lovegood vibes going on.
Look forward to more!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
LOL! That would definitely be funny, but I think you're right... a fairy that Severus created would be more... dour.
when in doubt, hermione researches! poor severus, tho. love to see how this will play out. many blessings to you, my deb. and mucho smoochies
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Thank you hon! Glad you're enjoying it.
Aw. Now I really do feel sorry for him. Hermione thinks he's gone mad. That's got to be tough on the prickly man. But figures she goes to the books ... heh. No need to wait long to update! Great story so far.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Aw, thanks! The poor guy can't seem to catch a break, can he? He went into this thinking he'd have some backup, but Arista, unfortunately, can't help him. Now he has to rely on our little bookworm to start believing in the unbelievable. Maybe a vacation would be in order for him. A good, long vacation. Long enough so that Hermione will forget all about this nonsense.
Heh ... 'His proposal, did you accept?' Poor Severus. Some attempt at flirting! I almost feel sorry for him though. That fairy is giving him a hard time.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Arista loves to give Severus a hard time because she knows him so very well. I'm sure she knew he'd muck up this encounter as well, but she had to let him flounder for himself for a bit. She can't do it for him.
Oh my ... I can just imagine his outrage as he tries to hex the poor fairy! So funny
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Thanks, blue! It was definitely a frustrating experience for him. And it's really not gonna get much better.
Always turns to the books! Hopefully she'll believe them.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
She's definitely skeptical now, isn't she?
And so the idea is born. Hum... I don't think it will be long.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Well, she isn't one for blind faith. She'll have to really study this out in her mind.
You know - I wonder what someone would say if they heard this conversation from the other side of the door. Would they hear Arista? I understand that they couldn't see her, but what would they hear? Would it make more sense if they heard her or would it be worse if they just heard Severus? So many tantilizing possibilities!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
What an interesting question. I would assume they would hear Severus talking to himself. There are very strict guidelines for seeing a fairy, as you can imagine.
Typical Hermione reaction...when in doubt, turn to research! Only when she discovers that others believe in fairy-witches will she allow herself to start to believe as well. I can just hear a tiny little Professor Snape with devil horns on her shoulder snapping at her, "Think for yourself, Miss Granger, not what books tell you to think!" And on her other shoulder, a tiny little Snape in angel wings says, "That's right, you dunderhead!" Severus had a good point about their conversations, though. They have a lot in common, and the strongest loves start out as friendships first. I'm looking forward to seeing Hermione finally meet Arista! Next chapter?
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
She'll do a thorough investigation, no matter what those Snapes on her shoulder have to say. Ultimately, she hopes the real Severus hasn't lost it. Really, the only true and lasting relationships are ones based on getting to really know one another and admire the other person. They'll need to do this in order to be successful.
Poor Severus. How utterly embarrassing for him. Hopefully, Hermione's mind will creak open soon.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
She needs to crack open the books first. She really doesn't work any other way.
Oh, deb - how interesting. Cinderella in reverse. I think this shall be an interesting story!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Thanks, sara! I hope you continue to like this lighthearted story.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww, Poor dear Severus, bless his heart, I hope Hermione starts to have a tiny bit of belief...so Arista will appear to her...I love it!! Well done, can't wait to see what happens next!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
She's not one for blind faith, is she? She'll need to do her research before she can wrap her mind around the truth.
Oh, poor Severus! He takes a chance and Hermione just doesn't believe him. And not only that, now she's concerned that he might be losing it.Arista's right, he would never have agreed to tell Hermione if he knew that Arista couldn't, or wouldn't, show herself if Hermione didn't have at least a shred of belief in her existence. But now that Hermione's got those books, it sounds like that situation could change shortly...
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Hermione is a thorough researcher. She won't make up her mind completely until she's exhausted all her resources.
Poor Severus, pouring his heart out and Hermione doesn't beleive him. I look forward to the next update.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Yeah, Hermione really isn't a believer until she has 'real' proof. But now she's in a viscious cycle, because the real proof can't be seen until she believes.
i'm afraid i'm with severus on this one. if someone gave me that kind of line i would think he was bonkers! lovely update, my deb. loved the image of sev in his black silk boxers! thanks and mega mucho smoochies
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Those boxers... yum!
Interesting story line. I can see him arguing with Arista til he is blue in the face. He's so cynical. He is not just looking the gift horse in the mouth, he is taking it to the vet to be checked out! Silly man.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Wishes Were Fishes)
Oh, he is. And he loves to argue too! He's the type that learns the hard way.
