Abraxas' quiet confidence that seems almost deafening is superb. And so similar to the other story you shared, of Abraxas as a child. He has the same self-assuredness as a boy, just tempered by the knowledge that the power is currently in someone else's hands.

It's interesting to see echos of Abraxas' childhood reaction in Severus. You've made me take a good, long look at a character I very much overlooked before.
