After a year playing Quidditch for the Harpie’s, Ginny finds herself whisked off to Italy for a summer holiday by none other than dear Aunt Muriel. Although Ginny might welcome a holiday, Muriel is not the best of traveling companions. And when one Draco Malfoy comes rather literally tumbling into the scene, will this prove to be the nightmare holiday Ginny envisions, or something else entirely?

A twenty-something years old woman who enjoys reading romance far too much (no doubt due to the lack of it in my own life). While struggling with the same problem Hermione does in so many of your stories - that of finding a man with above a mediocre minimum of brain capacity - I write stories with the hope of one day becoming good enough to earn something other than reviews for my efforts. (Not that I don’t love reviews - I adore them! - they just sadly don‘t pay my rent.) As the real world holds no Severus Snapes, I have plenty of time to practise...
To those of you still folowing my story Snape's Dream - I haven't abandoned it. In fact, I just sent chapter 7 to my beta and I'm typing away on chapter 8, so I'm back from my summer hiatus :)

looking forward to seeing the date between draco & ginny!
a wonderful 1st chapie!
I am just loving this story - Draco/Ginny was my first OTP which led me to SS/HG - I can't wait for your next update!Btw - have you thought about archiving at Fire and Ice?
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of A Suitable Young Man)
That's how I ended up reading SS/HG too. :) Glad you like the story! And no, I haven't. Might give that a thought. Thanks :)
love it can't wait to read more. please update soon.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of A Suitable Young Man)
Thank you. Will update soon, indeed :)
Hmm...wonder if Draco is having any similar dreams about Ginny? And will the Capro Gossip Hotline inform Aunt Muriel that Ginny's now shared a boat ride with Draco in addition to dancing with him? She's doomed...doomed! Looking forward to the next chapter so I can see more of how doomed Ginny is!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of A Suitable Young Man)
Well, if he did, he'd never admitt it! The sneaky Slytherin...Next chapter is around the corner. I'm really happy you liked my story!
At least he didn't step on her feet! Ginny should have sincerely thanked him afterwards, that would have knocked him off-balance... And she didn't babble at him, either, which I'm sure was a relief to Draco as well. If he only knew that he was more enjoyable company than her Aunt Muriel!
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of A Suitable Young Man)
Heh ... I always imagined Narsissa the type to make sure her son knew how to behave (even if he never could be bothered to.)He would probably have been stunned if Ginny had thanked him sweetly!
Thanks for the update. Just what I needed to end the day.

Thank you :)
Quidditch breaks the ice! I'm sure none of those "appropriate" young ladies Draco knows would ever be caught dead flying around a Quidditch pitch. They might muss their hair. And his cousin Lamberto was a hoot! "You're supposed to be nice to her." Perhaps Lamberto can show Draco how it's done...and how embarrassing if he's shown up in the art of flirting by a little eight year old boy...
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of A Suitable Young Man)
Yup ... none of them would ever consider playing Quidditch with him. (They might cheer on the side, though, which would boost his ego for about ten minutes and then bore him to death).I loved Lamberto - he's a Malfoy and already overconfident like he should be :)
I am enjoying the story. I like Draco stories post-war where he isn't completley awful and tortured. Of course, I prefer him with Luna because she is such a great foil for him, but I'll take him with Ginny. I do find it hard to believe Ginny is afraid of water and can't swim. That part seems a bit OCC for me, but I do still like the story premise and look forward to where it is going.
Response from Blue Phoenix (Author of A Suitable Young Man)
Yes, I did wonder if Ginny really would be afraid of water. But, then again, she needed a weakness, poor girl! As it is, she doesn't actually admit to being afraid and I think that's IC for her -- pretending to have everything under controll, even when she's way out of her league.I'm glad you like the story so far and hope you'll like where it's going, too!
