Severus looked around. He was supposed to Apparate to Spinner’s End. However, this did not look like anywhere near that. There was a lot of snow and slush on the side of the road, and the terraced houses didn’t look at all familiar.

He needed to find a darker corner to Apparate again, but there were too many Muggles walking around everywhere. He almost knocked over a stand of brightly colored clothes.

‘Damn Muggles, don’t they know that putting racks on the street is stupid?’ he muttered to himself.

He strode forward, looking for a place to eat. He was sure he had missed the right destination because he had been collecting potions ingredients all night long.

Suddenly, there was a loud squeal and he looked around.

Finally, he saw a small woman scrambling to get up, her shopping bags strewn around and boxes of shoes soaking in the snow.

‘Watch where you’re going!’ she yelled, trying to maneuver her heels to a steadier place on the pavement.

She glared at him for a moment, but then she began to giggle like a mad woman.

‘I can’t believe it!’ she squealed. ‘You’re Severus Snape!’ she said and poked his chest.

Severus looked at her in wonder.

‘How do you know me?’ he asked, wondering if drawing his wand would be right in this situation.

‘You’re famous! I’ve read about you! People write about you every day!’ There was a fangirlishly mad gleam in her eyes, just like he had seen in the eyes of witches when they were anywhere near the Weird Sisters.

Severus tried to stride past the madwoman, but she grabbed his arm.

‘And... you’re lost, Severus. I can tell... You will be forever lost in the mazes of Bury Park.’

Severus thought for a moment. How did this woman know him? And what danger did she pose to him? He had to investigate.

‘Maybe you could enlighten me if I invite you to lunch?’ he asked, hoping that if the situation worsened, he could always erase her memory.

‘My name’s Sempra, Severus dear. Shahi Naan has the best kabobs around,’ she said and made Severus take her shopping bags.

Severus just sighed. Maybe the feisty woman was not all that Miuggle. He had to find out. And some good food would certainly ease the mission.
