Reviews for A Christmas Alone (or, Letting Go)
Oh this is really sweet. I really felt his pain as he sat in his home unable to decorate. I felt like that when my father passed away. It's good that he remembered the promise and realized that he should live. I hope the tiny potions bottle remains on the mantel for a reminder that he'd been loved and that love stays with us always.

This review was a real compliment. Thank you so much, I am glad to know that it was realistic and that you found it to be hopeful at the end. Thanks for reading and reviewing, I really appreciate it!
*sigh* This is so sad and sweet... and such a nice story to read because it tugs on the right strings. ;3 I love this pairing, and you did such a great job on this from the prompts you chose. Brilliant, love, just brilliant. =^;~=

Aww, you are always so sweet! Thanks you so much, I am absolutely glowing! You are one of my biggest supporters. I always have a smile on when I see that you have read one of my stories!
What a sad, but extremely nice story. I think of all of the pairings out there, Snape/Harry is one of the few that I absolutely don't buy. I just think there is too much bad blood there and they truly don't have much in common. However, a story like this that is just a small snapshot in time, I'm actually ok with. I was able to forget everything about them that I think doesn't gel, and just enjoy. It was really sad that he loved Severus so much, but was unable to comply with the only thing he asked of him. I guess though, it makes the end so much better when he finally decides he can move on. I think most people would find that there is a lot of history of their relationship or family on their Christmas tree. That was a nice touch. Thanks for sharing this story.

*whew*! You had me sweating there for a minute... I was worried that you were going to rake me over the coals! I admit, Snarry is an unlikely pair, but I can't resist them just the same, and I strive to make my stories about them as realistic as they could be, given their obvious differences. I am glad that you were able to put aside your feelings and read the story for what it had to offer. For that I thank you very heartily! Thanks for the review!

I would never rake you over the coals. Make you sweat... now there is some fun in that. I have been branching out lately from my favorite pairs, and have found that if a story is written well enough, it could be about Hagrid and the giant squid, and still be enjoyable. Well, that may be pushing it a bit, but you get the idea :)

Well, if you like rare pairs, I'm your gal! I have a Harry/Dobby that might just make you bleach your poor eyes out, LOL! I know what you mean about branching out, though. I try not to get stale with my tastes, but it's hard to resist the siren call of your favorite pairs.
