WTF?  This needs an Angst warning.  Well written and a great premise.....but this needs a warning that it's not a happy ending.

this was unexpectedly sad!

That was so sad. Maybe, just maybe, if Hermione had gathered her Gryffindor courage enough to take a chance, she could have changed the course of another life. It's entirely possible that Draco might have rejected her anyway, but now we'll never know. :(

Oh, how sad!  She could have made all the difference in how his life turned out if only she hadn't misjudged him, based on merely the presence of another book.  Like she hasn't ever had more than one book open at a time!  Thanks for thought-provoking story.

Oh that's awful.  I mean wonderful, but awful.  It is quite sad, but could potentially happen.  I'd hoped she would have a little more Gryffindor courage in her,  but it was not meant to be.  Very nicely done!
