Oh, set a cell-phone reminder. It'll become like an addiction and then you won't be able to get away! LOL

I don't know if anyone else would have the respect for what missing his intellect would do to him. He would have been mortified at the thought of being mentally incapacitated. Great story. Sara

Exactly. With the exception of Dumbledore, but I have lost great respect for that man.
Another deliciously dark fic!! YOu guys were on a roll last night. :) I'm a huge fan of 'the dark' and every Sat. Night Drab. I've read thus far has had a dark twist. What a delectable way to wake up and enjoy my morning coffee. :)I think this is brilliant. We always work to save Severus, and some fics even address the physical effects of snake venom by giving Sev slight paralysis or some other mildly daunting ailment, but never do we address what a nuerotoxin would be doing to his brain while he lie helpless on that floor. Hermione is right, for a man so brilliant, the loss of his faculties would be far worse than death. Her decision was truly the only way to "save" him. Bravo!!

That song by Duffy sticks with me when I think about this fic; "you've got me begging you for mercy, why don't you release me?"Thankyou so much for your words of praise :) It's taken me forever to get my writing grove on :) I'll so be back there next weekend though!
Oh noooooes... Hermione was probably right about how Severus would feel about living with his mind destroyed, but I just don't think I could have done what she did... This was a fabulous response to the prompt! Well done.Beth

an ethical question.brrr.his tragic fate or death from her hand.bad bad snake.I'm glad, I don't know as much as Hermione does, and don't have to make her decisions and have to fulfill it then. in one point she is absolutely right. it is a horrible fate for such a fine brain.

you could even turn this fic into a debate about euthenasia. whether it is morally right to assist someone in dying if there isnt another way.Thankyou for reviewing :)
Hermione was right, he would have thanked her,for her mercy and respect.
