She's never actually hated Harry Potter, no matter what she claims. Once upon a time, she loved him. But only for two years.

Eh, I'm too boring to have a proper bio.

What a fascinating look into Petunia's mind and motivations. I think JKR made a grave mistake in depicting bad characters as completely bad and good characters as completely good. People are so very rarely that simply defined, and Petunia is no exception. I think these 20 facts about Petunia are quite accurate, and you did a great job presenting them!
I am so waiting on a Harry/ Dudley brotherly story. I hope one of these days i get to read at least one cause i sure as heck couldn't write it!

I've been tempted to write one a few times, either set sometime after the war or when they were very, very little, but have never been able to manage it. :( I certainly hope I come across one someday, if I never have inspiration for one. :D
This was awesome! I liked the insight into Petunia!

Thank you!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
OMG this was totaly amazing. It's so important to walk a day in someone elses shoes and of course Petunia would have her own story. No one is mean simply for the sake of being mean, there is always a reason. Wouldn't it be great to write everyones story from the HP world

I agree--people are very rarely nasty just to be that way--even Voldemort is evil for his own reasons, no matter how twisted and appalling his reasons are to us. And usually, when you get right down to someone's motivations, they're not as inherently awful as someone on the outside would assume. Petunia has certainly made mistakes, and I'm not saying that the things she did were excusable, but I do find them understandable, and it makes me pity her more than hate her. I'm slowly working my way through half the wizarding world, it seems. Soonish I'll be posting here Random Facts entries about McGonagall and Trelawney, and a drabble series about Andromeda. Lol. Character studies = my very favorite things to write. :D

Thank you!! I love writing about Petunia. :D
Wow, that's kinda neat. It's sad, but quite profound. I'll never see Petunia the same way again.

Thank you! Petunia becomes a very complex person when you look hard enough at her. She kind of fascinates me. Lol.
This was a nice foray into Petunia's mind and heart. It is far more canon than many of the cruel and abusive stories of his upbringing. Psychologically speaking, Harry must have recieved some love and affection from at least one of the Dursley's during his formative years, otherwise he might have become a sociopath as Tom Riddle did (had he been a real person and not fictional).

I agree--he wouldn't have turned out nearly so well-rounded and not-crazy if he hadn't received any love or care as a very small child. He may not remember those years, but I can't see a toddler surviving and thriving (he was thin, but he did learn, grow, etc, and he had a very real understanding of love despite not receiving it in everyday life, which makes me think he experienced it at some point after age one) without someone at least caring for him enough to feed and bathe and entertain him.
This was excellent

Thank you!!
Brilliant way to make Petunia more in-depth. It doesn't excuse her actions, but it makes them more understandable. Horrible, but understandable.
