I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

I do love a happy ending. It worked out well for all involved, except Ron and the roses. It took one public snog between Hermione and Ron to put Severus into motion and admit his feelings. Great story, DJ.

We both are the lovers of the happy ending, aren't we? At least Severus realized he was losing out. Good thing it wasn't too late!
Deb ~ Thank you so much for the wonderful gift. Not only the fic, but I started to get all misty eyed when you called me your soul sister. You know I feel the same way. Love Always,~Brena

Thanks, sis! I'm glad you liked it. It was a great prompt. You know how things just sometimes hit you. That's the way this one was for me.
Aces as usual. Thanks for sharing, JoAnne

Aw, yer so sweet! Thanks so much.
Wow, Ron deserved what he got. Hermione was right to be so persistant, and both of them were very sweet as they reconciled. It's a beautiful first kiss.

Thanks so much, Merrin. I'm glad you liked the story (and the kiss, LOL)
That vile bastard !! Deserves what he got. I think she even was too kind with him.

The poor girl suffers from the malady of having too big a heart. She should have flayed the jerk.
nice. poor roses. one tiny little thing:Could she possibly have said what he though he'd heard?you are missing a 't' at the end of thought. :)

Thanks so much, kitty. I fixed that little oversight. I'm glad you enjoyed the blasting of the roses.
Wonderful story! Ron nearly got what he deserved, the lasting loss of a certain part of his atonomy would have been suitable, preventing him from ever bestow his unwanted attention on any girl ever again, not to mention preventing him from passing on his dna to the next generation.

I think he is in a long list of men who would benefit from that punishment. What a terrible thing to do.
I liked that one. Can they arrest Ron for that, it seems horrid.
Response from debjunk (Author of Spare the Roses, Please)
You're so right! It should be listed amongst the unforgivables, I think!
This was so sweet! I liked how persistant she was in getting him to talk to her. brennamarie is very lucky to get such a prezzie!

Thanks bea! Hermione's always persistent, especially when she cares about someone.
Ron's ass was grass, and Hermione was the mower! LOL!I loved seeing Severus blasting the roses again and then finding out they were Hermione's. I think, all in all, it was a good thing that Ron pulled that dumb stunt because it forced Severus to get off his reticence and tell her how he feels.Way to go, deb!Beth

Thanks, Beth! I guess they should thank Ron for being a total git. He's just doing what he does best!
Way to work with "Severus is out blasting roses again."

What about poor roses. Who loves them? Oh, that's right, Pomona does! Good one, Deb! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Spare the Roses, Please)
Pomona definitely does, and as they're Hermione's, she does too. But she loves Severus more! thanks sunny!
I'm glad they worked things out in the end. :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Spare the Roses, Please)
Thanks, luv. Me too.
