EVER!
Chapter 1 of 1
morgaine_dulacA Hufflepuff makes a serious mistake!
Reviewed‘Hurry up, Pete. All the sausages will be gone otherwise.’
‘I’m not coming.’ Pete’s voice sounded muffled.
‘What do you mean, you’re not coming? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for a first-year.’
‘I’m staying in bed.’
‘Is your cold getting worse?’
Pete nodded and then hid under his blanket again. He would never again leave the Hufflepuff dormitory. Not after what he had done in Potions the day before.
When Pete’s fellow Hufflepuffs passed by the gigantic hourglass in the Entrance hall, they froze. There was not a single yellow stone left. Not one. What the ...?
A loud sneeze made them spin around. Snape was paler than usual, and the scowl on his face had reached a new depth of black. The only thing out of order was his runny nose.
That was when the Hufflepuffs understood. Pete had sneezed on the Potions master, and their whole House was going to suffer for it.
This is for all the teachers who have returned to school just to catch a cold from ickle firsties. Like I did :(

My teacher friend has a rule, never teach anything so young that they get their bodily fluids all over you. I think Severus would like to have that rule also. Very cute story.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
I have that rule, too, hence I worke with teenagers. However, I had to come to terms with the fact that they don't carry hankies nowadays.
Awww. Poor little Pete! I'm sure the other professors will understand and give them points. I hop eyou are feeling better, Morgaine.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Oh, I am already over cold #2. And there are no House points left ;-)Thanks for your thoughts, the shinies and for you taking your time to read and review. /M
Oh dear, poor severus.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
There's nothing worse than a man with a cold!
Response from mick42 (Reviewer)
Men do not get colds, they get flu, bird, swine, man, only women get colds, and more often than not, merely the sniffles.
LMAO! Well done. And I have to agree. Although not a teacher, I'm in customer service, and have a condition that sould be life-threatening if I get sick. Having those wonderful people who do not understand the concept of 'stay home when you are sick' sneeze and cough all over my work space.... We go through a lot of Clorox wipes. :) *gift wraps a case of wipes for Snape.... where'd that owl go?*
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Snape will scowl at your Clorox wipes, but deep inside, he'll appreciate the gesture ;)Fingers crossed for you not getting ill! /M
this revenge was sweet.no mercy, hm?keep your virus to yourself.he will never do this again. besides, he will not live to do this again.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Revenge IS sweet. And Pete should learn not to sneeze on people :P
I feel your pain. I'm not a teacher, but my daughter is, and at the end of the first week she had caught a cold from "ickle young'uns."Beth
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Give your daughter a hankie from me. :)
You too, huh?Although to be fair, mine was from a colleague *before* the little horrors even came back. Perhaps this year I'll give them the lurgy!Neat little story, too :-)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
I sneezed on the lot of them today. With any luck, there won't be a single student in school on Monday :)
Wonder what the Potions equivalent of Airborne might be? Thinking Severus should just head off to bed with a bottle of firewhisky..... Alright ladies, before you all send him off to bed with something (er, someone) else, at least allow the poor man to feel better..... A shamless lot of hussies, every one of you..... LOL
Response from moiramountain (Reviewer)
Oops sorry, I meant shameless !!!! I must be really weary if I need a beta for a damn review !!!! *hangs head in shame*
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Shameless hussies? *cough*takesonetoknowone*cough* :PI for one would not go near Severus when he has a cold. I am an awful nurse and I am sure he is a terrible patient! Once he's better, however, I'll gladly send him off to bed again ...
Response from moiramountain (Reviewer)
Given his rather ample endowment (as in NOSE, don't ya know...) the sneezing alone could be quite dangerous !!!I do hope you're up and feeling feisty in time for the long weekend (that's if you're in the States, with Labor Day and all.) Regardless, here's a heart felt "Poor Baby !!!"
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Naw, aren't you the sweetest. Nope, no long weekend for me. I live in Sweden. No more long weekends this year at all :( But hey, I'll try and squeeze in all the fun in two days!
Loved it!!!!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
YAY! Very glad you did!!
Revenge by proxy! Lovely. Get well soon!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Thanks for the good wishes. Don't deserve them though, I have been very un-nice today ...
*giggle* I'm sure Severus is an awful sick patient. (well, like all men I suppose *grin*)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
I wouldn't want to be around him *scared*Glad it made you giggle. /M

Cute way of dealing with this nuisance... ;o) my father is just enjoying his first year without having that famous cold just after the summer holidays.. as he's just retired from teaching. Gute Besserung!
Author's Response: Thanks for the good wishes. Will punish random dunderheads soon.
Aww, poor Pete... poor you! The immune system likes to take vacations during the summer, too, doesn't it? This was a cute way to describe it! ... Poor Pete! Lol! =^;^=
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
Yes, poor Pete! Poor me. Poor kids at school who have to try and get out of my way today. Muahaha.
Oh, go on. Blame the poor Puffs! :P
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
It felt ... natural! hehe
I know how you feel, my boys went back to school and gave me a bug!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
First you get a hug, then a bug ... I am going to be sooo mean to every snotty kid at school today!!
Don't know how you found time to write this, but I'm glad you did - it's really cute! I sympathise with you - I don't think, to date, either of my sons have ever gone back to school without them (+ me) going down with whatever's doing the rounds that new term! Roll on Monday (not!) when my youngest goes back ... ! :-)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
I was talking to star_girl (ok, I was whining) about catching a cold from kids. The conversation turned towards a certain Potions master and badda-bing!! I have to admit I was already in bed when I wrote this :PNo hug for you today, I'm snotty.
I got mine from a sophomore without the good sense to turn his head and sneeze into his sleeve or shoulder. Aaaargh ... This is cute. Thanks for writing!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
People with a cold should stay at HOME! (Says me who is going into work today anyway...)Thanks for reading and leaving a note! /M
*hands over warm blankets, tea with honey and a pepperup potion*Get well soon Professor! And Hufflepuff will never EVER get the house cup!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Never Sneeze in Potions)
He's been under the blanket with me all day :P
