It was a great idea to write about Petunia's point of view. We hardly think about her, probably because we tend to hate her. However she's an interesting character to explore.

That was a very compassionate interpretation of Harry's arrival at the Dursleys. Petunia seems far more human than she is in canon. I enjoyed it very much.

Canon has not treated Petunia nicely, but you most certainly have. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into what must have been one of the most terrifying mornings in her life. /M

She must have been terrified - and imagine the flood of old feelings and emotions this brought to the surface - especially the desperate longing she must have had to be like her sister.... knowing she never would..... and now here's the child to remind her again of what would never be.  Tragic in a way....

You rock!  You've done a wonderful job imagining the confliciting emotions Petunia must have felt.  a new fave for me. 

In retrospect, a letter really is not the proper way to do it.
