Hermione shuddered as her eyes fell on the centre of the courtroom. Mr Malfoy was tightly chained to a chair and had obvious trouble breathing. Mrs Malfoy was seated in a chair beside him, although her chains were looser.

Reviews for Appreciating Tchaikovsky
Love your cheerfully scheming Narcissa -- who of course gets something out of it for herself in the end. ;)
Love Narcissa being the stronger (as we all know she is;-D) and all-seeing when it comes to matching what Severus truly needs and what could light Sev's fire - Granger and Tchaikovsky - absolutely! Love the sombre tone of the beginning scene and then the release of the Malfoys, ending with everyone's 'awakening' wit music and love in the air - lovely work!

Thank you! I was very glad when in DH she finally became a more three-dimensional character. :)
Excellently done, Karelia. Enjoyed it immensely.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Glad you like it! Thanks for the prompt! The moment you and Deb had come up with them, it all fell into place. :D
That's so lovely and sweet. I like it when Narcissa interfère with Sev and Herm's Life.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you! I was surprised how it came out, but the Muse dictates what I write. :D
Yay! Matchmaking Narcissa always makes me happy. I love how you've written her intuition and style. Severus' understated gestures rung perfectly true.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you! :D I'm glad her style seems to work. It is pretty much how I imagine her.
Oh, this was so sweet and romantic! And so many excellent lines: "Bella would have Crucioed you," she thought with a hint of nostalgia." And Lucius slow on the uptake!! And I love the 1812 overture-- perfect music for them :)
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you! Heh, when Narcissa whispered that line, I knew I had to use it, LOL!
Aww, this is delightful. I always like to see love in the Malfoy family and I love your matchmaking Narcissa.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
*grins* I'm so glad you like it! I think I prefer Narcissa to be with Lucius rather than Hermione... LOL
Wonderful story, thank you so much for sharing:-))
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
So glad you like it!
1812 words! Now, that is too clever! :)
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
LOL! And that was purely coincidence!
very sweet. i like the depiction of the malfoys as a true love match, there for each other through the ups and downs. and i love the noncoincidence. :D
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you! :D
1812 words -- perfect! I love a matchmaking Cissa. Andromeda does indeed need a new mate, and I appreciate that Cissa kindly steered her from Severus (who belongs to Hermione!). Always glad to see Cissa and Andromeda get along after the war. Thanks for the story!
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you!I've never written a matchmaking Narcissa before, but it somehow fitted this one. And I wholeheartedly agree that Severus belongs to Hermione! :D
Very lovely story. Your title hooked me, and I like yenta!Narcissa. Now if she could only find a nice young lady for Draco...
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you! I'd like to think Draco is the next one on her agenda, lol.I think I might see you in Chicago. :D
Response from Clairvoyant (Reviewer)
I look forward to it!
1812 words, huh? It was meant to be! lovely story, hon.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
I couldn't quite believe the word count; it was amazing! Thanks, love!
Narcissa alternately scolding her sister for approaching Severus, then playing Cupid for Severus and Hermione was such fun to read. Lovely story! :D
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it!
Oh, it's a great story. I saw "Malfoy Manor" as the category and thought it would end up being Lucius/Hermione. What a lovely surprise that it went this way.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
*giggles*According to Lucius, I don't have to write Lucius/Hermione anymore. Colour me relieved, lol. I did have fun writing the pairing, but writing him with Cissy feels just so much more true. :D
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Reviewer)
I agree. I rather like him with Cissy. Now, what you should do to make it up to her for snatching her man away is write up some Cissy/Lucy/Sev.Just saying.:)
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
You're a very bad influence, giving me ideas like that, you know. :D
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Reviewer)
Good. Bwahahahaha :)
I love Tchaikovsky. That was adorable.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
*beams*So glad you liked it!
Love what you did with the prompts. Severus enjoying roses with Hermione... who'd have thunk it! :)
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
*grins* Thank you!
{ Bella would have Crucioed you, she thought with a hint of nostalgia.}OH that is soooo funny! Nostalgia! Golly, that had me laughing out loud. This is very well-thought-out. I love well-thought-out fiction. and it is 1812 words! Just too cute. You give us a very real sort of Narcissa here, with a feeling of depth to the character. She is calmly sensible, not a cardboard, horrible character, and her remark about the roses was very witty.-Wahoo.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
*laughs with you in delight*When Narcissa whispered those words, I sure was laughing out loud.Thank you so much for your kind words! I've never viewed Narcissa as a horrible character, and when I read that chapter in HBP, I gained quite a bit of respect for her for putting her child first.
This is a lovely story. I like the way you've written Narcissa. And her reminiscence of Bella is priceless. Hope to see Mrs Malfoy back in future stories.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you, I'm so glad you like it! I find lately that Narcissa doesn't get nearly enough attention in the fanfiction world, so, yes, there'll be more about her. :D
Response from slythkid (Reviewer)
I'm looking forward to it, so take your time (but don't take too long)! You could even throw in the roadkill hairdo - who knows, you might come up with a sound/any explanation - I for one wouldn't mind at all. ;)
The story begins in a somber mood with catastrophe lurking, but a bright spot of hope arrives. Then there is discontent with the rushing strings of the hearts countered by the clarion calls of brass determination. Finally, the campaign is in motion, and bravery sees the heroes through to fireworks (metaphor) and ringing bells (another metaphor) for a grand alliance climax (yet another metaphor). A tour de force.Checked these impressions by finding 1812 on youtube. Never listened to it before.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Your description is spot on! Thank you for sharing it!I find the 1812 positively one of the most powerful pieces of music ever written.
Lovely.
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
This was a fun story to read. I particularly liked Narcissa's and Lucius's interactions. It was funny that Lucius was having some "blonde moments." :)
Response from karelia (Author of Appreciating Tchaikovsky)
So glad you like it! I never used to write Narcissa at all, but somehow, she sneaked herself into my more recent fics, lol. :D
Lovely little fic. Wonderful how Narcissa connived to get Severus and Hermione together.
