this is very interesting. unfortunately i find myself quite incomprehending the last part where tonks and remus came in. thanks though for the luna fic!

Thank you for reading. The last bit should indicate that Tonks and Remus also made it back through the Veil (though I never do say how...), so they knew what to expect when Luna attempted her crazy plan to rescue Sirius. I like writing Luna. She has such potential.

Giving that Luna seems to be able to see and hear things beyond the normal boundaries of even the wizarding world, I've often wondered if she would be able to hear him, take messages back and forth between Sirius and Harry... I never would have imagined them paired this way though, and you pulled it off brilliantly. I like the way you have portrayed Luna. Don't get me wrong, I love flightly-flakey Luna, too, but you gave her a sense of maturity that I wished more writers would give her as an adult. Five stars!

The interesting thing about Luna is that she was almost always right, but people didn't realize it until much later. I figured a lifetime of that would have had an impact on her as an adult. I don't think it would change her curiosity, though! And I love writing Sirius. He's almsot a blank slate, so I can make him as noble or dissolute as I want.
A wonderful story with a unusual, but very much appriciated, pairing. I like Luna, she is a very special girl:-))

I am also fond of her, perhaps because her gifts are so often overlooked. I'm glad you liked the story!
There's a great potential in Luna to be exploited. She's a most intriguing character who would surprise everyone doing what nobody thinks possible. I always thought the voices behind the veil were going to play a more important role. If this had happened, Luna was certainly the one who would be involved in deciphering the secret. Unfortunately JKR scaled down many of the expectations she had built during OotP. That's why I was so disappointed at HBP. You did a great job. I can imagine Sirius reaction when he realised Luna had heard every word he had said to her, imagining she couldn't :-)

I think both Luna and Sirius were underused in the books, which may be why I enjoy writing them so much. I wouldn't have thought of this ship on my own, but there is quite a bit of potential in it. I also wish that more had been done with the veil, though I am glad JKR didn't bring back Sirius. It left room for me to do so. Twice. LOL Thank you so much for reading and for the lovely review.
Oooh - I love the new addition to the end! I absolutely adore this Luna (and no one writes Sirius better than you). She's such a perfect combination of insecurity and confidence.I love how you explained what had drawn her to the Veil to begin with. And I love how her intellect and perserverance, combined with Sirius's knowledge and experience, were able to find a way to bring them both out alive. And Remus and Tonks FTW ... bonus time!!!How clever of Luna to have written everything down. :-) Now she can have many possibilities to wager for! Thanks so much for your willingness to write this non-drabble-able prompt. This story is beautiful and funny and poignant and so much more than I could have ever hoped for!!! You rock!!

You knew I couldn't help but tweak it before posting. I am glad you approve of the changes. Thanks for a very intriguing (if difficult!) prompt. Figuring out how to make the pairing work was challenging, but once done, it seems to make sense. If I had the time, I'm sure I could come up with steamy descriptions of what he said to her, but I think I'll save those for my next book. ;)
Good job! What an interesting take on the prompt. I could see Luna doing something like this, something that everyone had said was impossible. She always saw what others could not bring themselves to acknowledge.Beth

Thank you! I agree. Luna is constantly underestimated, but she holds fast to her belief in what everyone thinks is impossible. It's one of the things I like best about her.
