‘Oh, bollocks!’ Hermione tore the parchment to shreds.

Lucius looked up from his book.

‘I can’t seem to get it right,’ his wife said.

‘You’re the most well-known writer of erotica in the wizarding world. Surely you can write a little threesome?’

‘Hm, maybe I should do more practical research on the subject,’ Hermione suggested.

Lucius’s eyes narrowed. ‘Are you sure this isn’t a pretext to have Severus round for dinner again?’

Hermione had that glint in her eye. ‘You didn’t seem to mind so much last time.’

‘Yes, well, his company is very inspiring.’

‘How about this Saturday, then?’

Three people were curled around one another in the large four-poster bed. Hermione reached across Lucius’s chest to snatch the last piece of feta from the plate on the bedside table. ‘Severus, your cheese is excellent.’

‘Like everything you do,’ Lucius purred.

Severus looked up and frowned. ‘We’re not still talking about Hermione’s research, are we?’

Hermione and Lucius exchanged a quick glance. ‘The Solstice is next week—’ Lucius began.

‘—and we were thinking of making this into a more permanent arrangement,’ Hermione finished his sentence.

A faint blush spread over Severus’s pale cheeks. ‘That would be acceptable.’
