Reviewed“Fucking dunderheads! Wouldn’t know a decent potion if they fell over one!” Hermione viciously slashed red ink into the offending parchment between glares at the smirking portrait behind her desk. “Oh, piss off. It’s all your fault!”
“Don’t blame me for your foolish choice of career, woman.”
“Well, if you hadn’t been such a brilliant teacher, I wouldn’t be sitting here.”
The man in the portrait raised a disbelieving eyebrow.
“OK. Unfair, intolerant, ill-tempered, antisocial, pig-headed, and brilliant.”
“You forgot obnoxious.”
The painted face of Severus Snape ducked as a paperweight sailed unerringly towards his frame.
“Your aim is improving!”

Another nice wee story, Pen. Please send me the portrait for something to throw paperweights at, or some homework to mark, so I don't have to sit inside on a Scottish summer's day watching the rain lashing down outside!

Lovely story, though I would have loved Severus to be alive (I like to pretend that much of what JKR wrote in DH never happened, like the deaths of Severus, Fred, Remus and Tonks..:-))

Ha! I love the idea of a Severus portrait - plenty of time for the devilish sense of humour we all know was there to come out.
