Born: in the glorious year of 1979, when Dio joined Black Sabbath and Peter Pettigrew started passing on information to the Dark Lord
Colours: black, green, silver
Passions: writing, cooking, baking, witchcraft
Obsessions: quite a few, chocolate for one (hi Lupin!), but mainly a certain Potions master and a blond DE.
When I am not writing alone, I co-write with my favourite Ravenclaw star_girl. Look for sevs_starsisters to find our stories.
Published writer since 2014. Original fiction is good fun, but I find myself returning to fan fiction every now and then

Sweet and simply lovely.

Oh dear, i've written some angsty stuff over the years.
that should have been *cites title of morgaine's latest LM drabble* (which I'm going to read now). Ah yes, that submit button again..
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
I am afraid the queue is very, very long ...
There is. *cites morgaine's latest LM drabble* Alas, I think you might be looking for someone else. This sad if beautiful story is very fine as it is but I'd love to read more as I always want Severus' suffering ended. I might add that hopefully you'll find him someone his own age and whose name doesn't begin with "H".
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
H? H?! Are you kidding me?? I promise here and now that this is never going to happen in one of my stories. So kick back, and read the others. You're H-safe here :P
Ouch! Oh please write more. Poor Severus.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
Very glad you liked the little piece. I'll do my best to find a woman for Severus.Cheers. /M
A lovely, if not heart-breaking portrait. I do hope he finds her. Hurry up and figure out who she is.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
So far, I have figured out who she is NOT. ;-)
Beautiful. Where, oh where is the Mirror of Erised when we need it? i know you will find her for him.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
I will do my very best. /M
Beautiful story! I agree with the other comments that it works as a standalone story or it could be a premonition (I'm not exactly sure what the other poster meant but to me I interpreted it as "Death" which would be an end to his suffering). It would make me even happier to believe that he could always remember Lily but be able to move on and open his heart to another. I think it would have been hard for him to open his heart to another until after ensuring Harry (the last part of Lily) was safe, and unfortunately he dies before that happens. But there's always hope (it is fiction after all!) that there was someone who was there along the way to help give him the strength to keep going, not just being guilt-tripped by a memory. Thank you again and I look forward to reading your interpretation!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
Thank you. I am very glad you liked it.I, too, think that Lily will always be in his heart, but I would like him to remember as a friend and not as a reason for a massive guilt trip.I'll see if I can find the woman who's consoling him at night.Cheers. /M
Perhaps she is no one woman - but the personification of mother, sister, friend, lover - all those aspects of woman that he has never known. A very tender and moving piece. Lovely !!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
That is a very good point! Thanks for reading. Glad you liked it. /M
This is both beautiful and powerful. I'm not sure you need to write any more in drabble form but I'd love to read a full-fledged story written in this concept - no matter who you choose to be the woman.Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
Thank you! So glad you liked it.I'll have to see if I find that woman. If I do, I'll ask her what form she would like her story to have ;-)Cheers. /M

It's weird when these double posts happen. I have no idea what I do to cause them. Anyway, thanks for your response!

Extremely, heartwrenchingly sad, bitter and beautiful at the same time. I do wish so much that he didn't dream in vain of this woman. I know, of course, who she is, though I suppose you wouldn't agree *g*.
Author's Response: She does NOT have bushy hair ;-) Well, not in my version, anyway. That much I know. :P
Cheers. /M
Alcina vom Steinsberg's response: *pouts* I would have thought you know me well enough by now that I would never think of that "her", may her hair be bushy or not! ;o)
Author's Response: Shame on me, hehe
Could be an elf... ;) Or a premonition? :)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
An elf? Yeah, why not? I'd rather go with the premonition.Cheers. /M
If it's not finished I'll love to read who she is. If it is, it's simply fabulous.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
Merci beaucoup! I'll try and figure out who she is. If I do, I'll let you know./M
This is heartbreaking. It really is perfect as is, but I wouldn't mind seeing him happy. :) Thanks for sharing. It was lovely. *sniffles*
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
Glad you liked it. We'll see if we find that woman or not.Cheers. /M
Please let the woman be me - please, please!!! I'm offering!Seriously though, this is good & begs for more. Mind you, it hasn't exactly put a smile on my face! However, I will forgive you because Severus Snape IS a tragic character whatever way you look at it (& we have to blame - or thank maybe - JKR for that!) More please ... :-)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
Dearest
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
, just how many of my stories have put a smile on anyone's face? And yes, we do love Tragic!Snape.More once I've figured out who the woman is :P
Maybe the woman is a sub-conscious manifestation. It could be nice to see where this goes, there is a lot of potential here.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
I would very much like to continue this story. I, too, think that there is potential. But as I said, I need to figure out who this woman is first. Thanks for reading and taking the time to leave a note. As always, it is very much appreciated! /M
More! Please! MORE!!! You can't leave Severus all alone and sad!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of There Must Be)
Sure I can. Watch me :P
