This is one of the loveliest and most visual poems I think I've ever read. Beth

Wow! Thank you so much!
Lovely to see some good poetry here. I know it is not everyone's 'thing' but it is mine and I really liked this! You have an amazing way with words and, although this is very different from the style and feel of Soroche, it totally fits in. You managed to say so much here with so few words - and beautfiully too! Thanks for posting :-)

Thank you so much! You have no idea how good this makes me feel!I actually wrote the original poem a number of years ago, in Spanish, with the genders reversed. It was an interesting exercise to rework it for this fic.
Another proof that the best love poems are not love poems at all. Very primal. I like.

Thank you so much!
Lovely poem, though, just want to clarify something. When you said Inka, did you mean, Inca? Like the ancient people of the Andes before Columbus?

Yes, it's the same thing. That spelling is used sometimes to denote the rulers themselves, but more often in modern usage as a more indigenous spelling--the Spanish spelling being, after all, in the language of the conquering people. In the same way, there's a tendency to spell the name of the language Kishwa instead of Quechua.Glad you liked it!
