I like to pick favorite lines from chapters, and this is mine from this particular chapter:
Oddly enough, it wasn’t nearly as irritating as when Harry worried about her.
Love that line.
Another chapter well-done, and I look forward to the continuation of this tale.
For some reason, throughout this chapter, I kept hearing that fated "saving them from dum-dum-dum... certain death!"
LOL.
I like how you're bringing this around. Keep up the good work.
Interesting... very interesting. Can't wait to see what's in the basket, and from whom it came.
Short, but sweet! Not bad, this has the feel of a transitional chapter so I'm expecting some excitement soon lol.
Two powerful, intrepid people, working in a bookshop, a death threat and mutual attraction ... this set-up promisses a lot of adventurous and clever experiences.

Your description definitely made me grin.
great start! I'm glad I found your story late enough to learn right now what's in that basket. Crookshanks, though, needs psychological treatment if he thinks of Ms Norris that way!
Response from fishstickhater (Author of Straight to the Point)
Well, you know, Crooks is getting lonely in his old age... =P
A wonderful beginning! and thanks for reminding us who this Michael is.

Thank you! Heh, I knew no one would guess that we've seen him before. :)
Welcome back. I look forward to more. I have it favorited.

Thanks! It's definitely been a long hiatus. I'm glad to hear it. :D
Brilliant start, you've definitely captured my attention!About that basket Hermione found, sounds like it really could be snakes, but it could be someone's ticked off kitty too. But I'd say someone is definitely trying to scare her. It also seems as if that person is aware of Hermione's nightmares...maybe they're even somehow causing them?Next chapter, please?

I'm glad to hear that. It's been interesting, trying to create an air of mystery.
It's an intriguing start. Thank you!

Thank you! :)
A very interesting first chapter! It sounds like there could be some snakes in that basket, and with my deep fear of snakes I will take cover behind some shelves while leaving it to others to deal with the problem:-) If it is snakes, who left them and where they ment for Hermione to find, meaning that they were left by someone who knows about her nigthmares? It could just be a basket of hissing kittens though.... I look forward to read more!

Ahhh, that's what great about mysteries- who knows what'll happen next! :P
Interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing where this will go.

My only question is why is Hermione a cashier?
Response from fishstickhater (Author of Straight to the Point)
In my little universe, the war hasn't been over too long, and in my mind, I see Hermione wanting some down time to think about what she wants to persue and also to just get away from the stresses she's faced. She obviously would have had many offers in several fields and she doesn't seem to be the type of person to jump into anything. She would want to do a lot of research, which she could easily complete due to her fairly lax work schedule and access to so many books, both at Flourish and Blotts as well as Hogwarts. She doesn't really do it for the money, she does it to keep herself busy. Don't worry, I won't doom her to cashier status for forever.
