Such a beautiful picture. You managed to capture his pain and heartbreak. Lovely.

Thank you for the review and the lovely compliment.
Excellent! I like the details you have put in: the broken swing, the factory, his mark, the initials carved on the tree. And the shirt, it looks too small. Poverty was perhaps one of the reasons he took the mark. I think you did a great job depicting his emotion and echoing his desolation.I'm really impressed.-Wahoo

Thank you for the kind words.
Ah, this is beautiful. He appears young, was it intentional? In this I imagine Snape to be in his late teens, possibly regretting his decision to take the dark mark. Or maybe early twenties, mourning the loss of Lily at the place where he first met her. It's so sad!

I did intend him to appear to be in his late teens... so glad that it worked! I guess there was no one regret I was focusing on... just general remorse/sorrow. Thank you for the kind words.
This drawing is amazing in its detail and the emotions depicted. The look on Severus' face shows his regret, his sadness, and his sense of utter isolation. Brought to his knees by the realization of what he'd done, with his ill-fitting shirt and the Dark Mark and Death Eater mask, there is no doubt that he wishes he'd never made that damnable decision to join the Dark Lord. The symbolism is spot on from the cold and lifeless factory in the background, to the dead and broken tree with LE-SS carved into the bark. The swing tells me that one is is broken and gone, and the other is still there yet incomplete.Give yourself a pat on the back! Well done.Beth

Thank you for the in-depth and thoughtful review.
I love teh b/w line detailing and the factory in the background is perfect. I also think you got the angst down, as this would be post Lily.

Thank you for the review. Yes, it's post-Lily; the tree tells you. I think the tree almost condemns him.
Very nice. I liked the little images of broken-ness you added in here, like the swing, and his shirt being all twisted.

Thank you... that shirt was a complete headache, so I'm glad it worked out alright. Thanks for reviewing.
What a beautiful piece of work! Very poignant. Well done! :)

I guess with a black biro, there is only so much you can do with regards to hue and value... And I'm totally astounded by the compliment. Thank you.
That's truly lovely in a sad, poignant way. Thank you for sharing. :-)
