Hey Hazel Eyes
Chapter 1 of 1
Devin Aiden TeagueA poem I wrote for my mom, but I suppose most people will see it as, well, overdramatic.
ReviewedHey hazel eyes
I see you over there
Hey hazel eyes
Don't pretend that you don't care
Hey hazel eyes
I'm just like you
Hey hazel eyes
I do everything you do
Hey hazel eyes
I'm just your daughter; you don't see
Hey hazel eyes
It's just me; I just want to be free
Hey hazel eyes
Just pretend to know who I am
'Cuz hazel eyes
I know you don't give a damn
Hey hazel eyes
I try to listen
But hazel eyes
When you yell; these tears glisten
Hey hazel eyes
I know you see them on my face
Hey hazel eyes
Don't they seem out of place
Hey hazel eyes
I won't let you order me around
'Cuz hazel eyes
I'll stand my ground
Hey hazel eyes
Do you hear my bitter voice
Hey hazel eyes
It was all your choice
Hey hazel eyes
I'm not your child anymore
Hey hazel eyes
You've lost this war

My mother yells too and I know how bad it can hurt and this poem says it all.

Oh haha!
Beautiful. I can believe it was almost made for me. I think I will write this out so my husband can read it to me and I can makebelieve he wrote for me too. If that is ok? Sad aren't I? lol
