Like many proud alumni of the honorable Hufflepuff House, ApollinaV is a rabbid Huffle-hugger, champion pear-tickler, and founding member of Cleansweep-Streakers Guild (the AV-Eyeful is so named in her honor). Since graduating Hogwarts, she done 'responsible' and 'professional' things - and resolves not to do that anymore. Dreadful amounts of paperwork.

Petal? Rosebud?! Hilarious...
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
~grins~ Thank you! Best, AV
Clever girl, our Hermione.
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Aye, that she is. She's our girl! AV
Not to quick to pick up on Hermione's hints about wanting to date an older man... one who brews... he never imagines he could be the object of a witch's desires. But he's damned quick on his "thinking feet" when he sees an opportunity to save Hermione... for himself!Great job, AV!Beth
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Yes, sometimes the wizard does have a moment of enlightenment... especially if he's going to twist a situation to his benefit. Three cheers to Severus thinking on his feet. Thanks love! AV
i can see where sluggy would think it was him...men are great at self delusion! wonderful ficlet. thanks so much
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Ha! Sluggy is all ego. And Severus... not. Thank you love! AV
Nice job!! Thanks for your work!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Thank you m'dear. I had a lot of fun with it. Schmootches, AV
Petal is just the most inspid nickname ever, so perfect for Sluggy to use. Dont think I didnt notice that you ended the drabble before the naked parts. Foul!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
I hate Petal. I hate Rosebud. Probably not as much as Severus does. Part of the reason why they were picked. And as for ending the drabble when I did, I cut it off at the 1,000 word mark. Or 1,000 words by Word when I submitted to my beta. Hm... it shows the word count as a little high... anyway. I capped because it shouldn't have gone higher than 1,000 words, but lemons could easily have been the order of the day. Lemme know dear, give me a prompt and I will write PWP or something as such just for you. Promise. -AV
AV, that was great! I loved that he thought she was 'flirting' with Slughorn, as if she'd like him over Severus! Come on! At least Hermione set him straight. And I loved the way she did it!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Men. Honestly. And Severus always second guesses himself, but c'mon. Hermione fancies an older man who likes to brew... obviously it's not Sluggy. Sigh, but that's where plot comes from. Thanks love! AV
The man is a genius, but boy! Can he be dense at times or what? lol Is this a oneshot story? 'Cos it looks like it is but you said that it is not complete. Please correct me if I am wrong. And if it is fnished, what are you waiting for to start another? Hurry!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
It should be. It's just a one-shot from Sat Night Drabbles. I'll check it out, maybe some box didn't get checked properly or whatnot. Or... maybe I'll write another for next weekend's drabbling. Regardless, the intention was a one-shot. Thanks! AV
Loved it! Severus is so clueless (typical guy isn't he?!)I laughed at Hermione hiding out behind the dueling dummies and Severus hexing her in the bum. LOL
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
You liked that, didn't you... sadist! Sev was being clueless, as if Hermione would fancy an older wizard who likes to brew and honestly meant Sluggy. Ick!!! Thanks love! AV
Lovely little twist. I can just imagine Hermione trying to make subtle hints, Severus not cottoning on, and Horace getting entirely the wrong idea.
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Thank you m'dear, that's exactly the misunderstanding I was gunning for. Not that Severus' isn't quick on the uptake or ready to manipulate the situation to his advantage...lover...but still. Duh Sev! Men. Thanks! AV
What a lovely, organic way to bring them together! And how funny that he missed all the subtle hints. A very enjoyable read.
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Thank you love! I appreciate that. I don't think Severus imagined they were directed at him, but geez... Sluggy? Yikes! Schmootches, AV
LOL really cute. Gotch ya, dosn't even cover it! Hermione played this one very well. Severus, like so many men, missed the hints! LOL well, this will teach him, right?
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Hopefully! Poor Sev, he couldn't possibly imagine she was talking about him. Dunderhead. Because obviously she was pinning for Sluggy... right? Ah well, I spy a happy ending. Thanks! AV
Apollina! This was an amazing response to the prompt! Very well done! Oh, how I love SS/HG! :-) Thanks for the wonderful story and of course getting rid of Sluggy! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Thank you love. Sluggy had to go. Perish the thought he manages to snag Hermione. Way to go devious black knight in shining armor. Schmootches! AV
Haha! Well, how funny for both of the men to get the wrong impressions. Sev, always shortchanging himself. At least he pressed his advantage and let Hermione press hers. Well done!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Indeed, because I can totally see Hermione pinning for Sluggy and fantasizing about him... not. Silly Severus. But at least he's a wonderful manipulator even if he can't spot the obvious. Thanks! AV
Petal? Poor Hermione. Snape deserves the Order of Merlin for saving her.
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
An Order of Merlin perhaps. Or some naughty lemons as a sweet reward from the damsel. Thanks! AV
..."Petal"... That was lovely! Jaded, post-war Severus "trying to muster a ‘givadamn’." Even intimidating students ain't fun anymore? Poor man. But what a lovely surprise you had for him.And Hermione had a good reason for hiding! I get queasy just thinking what would happen if her pursuer managed to corner her somewhere. That mustache!favorite moments: “Shall I call him back and tell him we’ve split up?” '[..] he assumed [...] she would be as obvious as a Gryffindor about it.'Our Hermione can do "Slytherin subtle" too, you know!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Oh yes, and thank you! That mustache indeed. I can't imagine Hermione lovesick and pinning for Sluggy. But way to go Dundersev for not spotting the obvious. At least he could be counted on to manipulate the situation to his utmost advantage. Thanks! AV
Response from Anathema (Reviewer)
"Dundersev" ?!? OMG again! Are you trying to make me drop the baby or what?Make HG call him that to his face, I dare you!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
That sounds like the beginning of a good prompt for the next Saturday Night Drabbles. I'll float it and see if anyone picks it up. Thanks! AV
Geez, Sev, how slow can you get? :D
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
I know. Because obviously attractive young witches aren't lusting after him. They must be attracted to old Sluggy. At least he redeemed himself by being so sneaky and manipulative. Love indeed! Thanks, AV
Petal Did Sluggy want to use her in one of his potions? Anyway nice reponse of the prompt
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
You know, I hadn't thought of that angle at all. I was only contemplating the most stomach-turning term of endearment that was gag-worthy. Not that the thought of that coupling isn't gag-worhty to begin with. Thanks! AV
Yes!!! LOL at having ol' Sluggy chasing after Hermione when all she wanted was to be in Sev's arms. I loved that kiss at the end, it was pure heaven!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Thanks! It is rather like poetic irony. At least the knight got the damsel in distress, even if he did have to manipulate the situation a bit. Ah well. Thank you m'dear, twas a fun prompt, and exactly what I was in the mood for. -AV
Perfect.And I want that wine.
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Thank you m'dear. ~fills your glass~
LOL! Of course he wouldn't expect a Gryffindor to be subtle.
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
I think Hermione could give him a serious run for his money in the Slytherin department. ~grins~ Thanks! Best, AV

oh, I liked it very much. Thanks for the story
Great answer to the prompt! And self-diminishing, hence clueless, Severus is the perfect counterpoint to hyper-ego Slughorn. LMAO!
Response from ApollinaV (Author of Hiding Hermione)
Thanks love! Like Hermione would be pinning after Sluggy. But then I suppose Severus thought that was more likely then Hermione being interested in him. Funny he didn't believe she was after him, but he was sure quick to work the situation to is own advantage by announcing they were lovers. -AV

Brilliant! :o) Great response to the prompt.
Author's Response: Thank you, that's very kind of you to say. AV
