Hello There! My name is Karen and I live right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Way back in 2006 when we needed to put "Half-Blood Prince" spoilers on our fics... when DH didn't even exist... I created my profile here on The Petulant Poetess.
Falling in love with the SS/HG Ship changed my life and allowed me to be in a position to save the site from extinction in 2019. I'm so grateful to be here and to continue to see the wonderful fic here live on for as long as possible.

In the little we see of Hermione's parents in canon they appeared to be very happy and supportive. I just thought it would totally turn my world upside down to start with and then I'd start to feel proud and honored that my little girl would be so special. Thanks for the review

I can just picture the average parent confronted with Hermione's mum's situation; a child displaying freakishly unusual talents and worrying that something is seriously wrong. And then learning that the world holds a few unexpected surprises. Well done.

Theres a certain amount of risk that accompanies putting your work out there for the masses. Sometimes its just a scary prospect. I'm not saying that I've ever had any problems in the past, I can just freak myself out to the point of inaction. Throw in my horrible grammar and you've got a recepie for disaster. Brena, this is a unique take on the prompt! Very interesting to consider Hermione's mother's point of view. I could totally put myself in her place, and could believe I was going nutty, even after McGonagall showed up - perhaps more so after her visit.So glad you participated in the drabbles - and especially to see how the same prompt yielded such different results. This is a great story!

Popples! I get way too excited whenever someone brings those up.

I was actually telling my husband at breakfast that we should look for Popples on DVD (since I brought them up in the story) and he said "I don't know about all that". What! No Popples?
