Like many proud alumni of the honorable Hufflepuff House, ApollinaV is a rabbid Huffle-hugger, champion pear-tickler, and founding member of Cleansweep-Streakers Guild (the AV-Eyeful is so named in her honor). Since graduating Hogwarts, she done 'responsible' and 'professional' things - and resolves not to do that anymore. Dreadful amounts of paperwork.

Poor Hermione. I can see her having nightmmares where a big failure (or potatoe) would hunt her down. *grin*

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

Oh yes, she's so anxious to please.  Confidence comes with maturity.  Thanks! AV

oh my, miss know-it-all cheated! Thank goodness for the odd older man with the sweeties =P. Cute story!

Response from kallonista (Reviewer)

Ok so having read what I wrote here previously in reference to Dumbledore, I do believe I made him look like a child molester...not my intention.

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

Oh I didn't read it to be creepy at all.  I'm not sure if she cheated.  She improvised!

Well risen to the challenge, and quite an idea for a project. But I suppose Hermione has still something to learn about natural science ;o)

Author's Response: Thank you! It took me awhile to find the right kind of project that would have a reasonable excuse to use magic.  And yes, Hermione has determination, but a lot to learn.  Thanks, AV

Lovely! That was really well thought out, and I enjoyed reading it. I really felt the emotions you were conveying for Hermione.

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

Thank you, I appreciate that.  When the idea for a science fair project hit, it just seemed right.  AV

I liked the child like details about Hermione's life like her bed time. It was quite authentic.

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

Thank you m'dear.  I does have a few 'slice of life' things peppering it.  But you can't write things about a child without getting into their world... even when Little Miss Bossy is a bit big for her britches.  AV

She's pretty creative to think to use the potatoes to hide her magic.

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

I think she honestly believed they'd work.  Well, it was better than conjuring a real thunderstorm...   Thanks! AV

Hey Apollina.  I loved your response.  You put so much detail into the experiment and all the research was soooo Hermione.  Even though you didn't talk about her parents reactions it was still a very creative response.  Much Love ~ Brena

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

Thank you, I wanted to try something different to respond to the prompt and I imagined that unconscious magic was going to be where most people went with that.  But thanks, it took me awhile to find the right experiment that would make the story work.  Schmootches, AV

That is a neat idea.  I guess the Know-It-All missed one detail, but oho, she's special, she cojuld make the bells ring without the potato!  I'm glad there was one Muggle in the group who recognised that Hermione *might* be a witch.Lovely response to the prompt! :)

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

Thanks love.  Yes, I guess she missed one small detail.  But it was better than summoning a thunderstorm!  And I had to resolve it the right way, someone had to take the sting of not understanding away.  Schmootches! AV

Great response to the prompt!  Poor girl, after all that hard work.  At least the sweeties helped.

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

'...where troubles melt like lemon drops...'Amazing what a kind person and candy can do.  Of course the explaination that 'You're a witch' also helps!  Thanks love! AV

LOL. Wonder if the potatoes turned into fries? ;)

Response from ApollinaV (Author of Franklin's Bells)

That would be one way to bake a potato!  I hadn't honestly thought about that, but too funny.  Thanks love, Schmootches!  AV
