Ooooooh! *shivers*That is a very plausible explanation of why Voldybutt chose Potter over Longbottom. Perhaps it's just as well that Snape didn't know of the reasoning - that would be more to add to his guilt plate. Poor thing.I liked your answer to the prompt; well done! :)

Thank you very much. I have a suspecion that he might have had an inkling, or he wouldn't have gone begging to Dumbledore to protect her. But yes, I wanted to make this as real a plausible answer as possible.
