It was 1975. Change was coming, fast and strong, and it swept the Black sisters along with it: Bellatrix to freedom and to madness, Andromeda to independence and to love, and Narcissa to womanhood and to the bitter taste of loss. Andromeda/Ted, Bellatrix/Rodolphus, Bellatrix/Voldemort (in a manner of speaking), Narcissa/Lucius.

"I shall wear necklaces and a white dress without sleeves at night. There will be parties in brilliant rooms; and one man will single me out and will tell me what he has told no other person. He will find in me some quality, some peculiar thing. But I do not want to be fixed, to be pinioned. I tremble, I quiver, like the leaf in the hedge, as I sit dangling my feet, on the edge of the bed, with a new day to break open. I have fifty years, I have sixty years to spend. I have not yet broken into my hoard. This is the beginning." - Virginia Woolf, The Waves

Beautiful, DWS, as always. And thanks for the shout-out. ;) I especially liked how effectively you show the girls' sisterly bonds. Obviously, JKR never develops their relationships, but this is so believable and realistic. The different ways their minds work and their different likes and dislikes, even while they stay as closely-knit as peas in a pod. Although that's not exactly the simile I was going for... LoL. Great job! Can't wait for the next! :)
thanks for the update - I'm looking forward to seeing where you take the story.
I like how you paint the three sisters in all their similarities and all their differences. They are so young, so carefree, oblivious to what life will bring them. And yet one can already picture the women they will once become.

Thank you! I'm so obsessed with the Black sisters, it's ridiculous. I don't know what it is about them--I'm addicted. I can't wait to develop and play with them throughout this story! Thanks so much for the review!
Ooooh, really interesting story - please keep it up!!!
I'm sooo excited for the following chapter!!! Is it in queue?? XD
Lovely beginning. I hope this becomes very popular.
Love,
CC
PS- I rated it five stars and you can't do ANYTHING about it. :P
I like the way you've drawn their personalities, and also that there's a bit of intrigue right from the off! Looking forward to more!

Thanks! I can't wait to keep going!
I'd die for a picture of what you were referring to with that last sentence :-)
The way you portray the three sisters so very differently, and yet so similar is astounding. I can even like your Bella - which is usually difficult, knowing how she will become in canon.
Keep up the good work.
Your Bella is a rather intriguing character.
I really enjoyed how Bell speculated about Sirius.
An excellent story. Thank your for sharing it with us.
