I'm way too old to be visiting sites like this (dare I admit to forty-something!) but my love of all things Severus Snape/Alan Rickman keep me addicted! Poor health keeps me from working and at home all day and gives me too many excuses to read/write fan fiction in an attempt to keep me sane. I have two lovely sons, and an even lovelier hubby, to try and keep me on the 'straight and narrow'. And, now, they're aided in that task by the more recent addition to our family of two beautiful black, male, kittens - Merlin and Mesmer!  (I wanted to call them both Alan Rickman-related names, so, naturally, one was very nearly 'Severus'... Unfortunately, my family drew the line at that particular wizard so I had to be a bit more subtle - hence Mesmer [as in Franz Anton for those not familiar with the AR film, 'Mesmer']; the name also happens to be short for mesmerising!) ;-)

I have a few stories (and poems) posted at Occlumency, under the same pen name as here, and have gradually been expanding on my repertoire both here and there over the last two or three years.  Despite claiming to be in 'fanfic retirement' of recent times, I now find myself with newer additions on Ashwinder, Fanfiction.net and Granger Enchanted where I go by the names of Sevvy253 or Sevvysgirl/Sevvysgirl253.  However, this site retains the most complete listing of all my work to date.

I also have an account on DeviantArt - http://sevvysgirl.deviantart.com/
where I am gradually starting to display some of my artwork 'attempts'! :-)

And - finally - I'm being totally shameless in promoting my own new shop on Etsy!  Here is the link: http://www.etsy.com/shop/sevvy253?ref=si_shop

I'm only just starting up, so stock is limited at the moment, but I'm hoping I will go on to bigger (and better) things.  From little acorns, and all that ...  Please feel free to pop by from time to time to see what changes may be in store (no pun intended!)

Of course, better late than never. That goes for posting as well as reading this enjoyable poem. And after all, doesn't a Severus-year consist of 365 Severus-days? So it's never too early or too late. Again, thanks for sharing.

Response from Sevvy (Author of Seasons of Reasons)

I guess you're right about a 'Severus Year' consisting of 365 days (or perhaps it should be more - he is rather special!)  Thanks for reviewing! :-)

Thank you so much for your review - short and sweet and to the point! Glad you enjoyed my little bit of silliness! :-)

I liked this. It made me laugh, and in parts it made me wistful thinking of the loss we all share. For though he's just a character on paper to many, for those of us here, he's so much more.Thank you for sharing this!

Response from Sevvy (Author of Seasons of Reasons)

Thank you so much for the review!  I agree with you that 'Severus' is so much more; I honestly think that this is only so because of the way Alan Rickman plays him though (to me, AR is SS and vice versa!)Normally I don't do 'limerick' style poetry (my other poem posted on this site is much more 'serious') but this just came to me shortly before Christmas (when it was originally posted on Occlumency) so I thought I'd go about posting it here to 'test the water' as it were, as I'm new to this site! Thanks again for reading/reviewing :-)

I can take him for Easter, too ;-)

Response from Sevvy (Author of Seasons of Reasons)

Sorry, already 'booked' to be with me!  We're supposed to be holidaying in Cyprus (health permitting!) over Easter & I reckon Sev could do with a little bit of Cypriot sunshine on his pale dungeon-weary complexion (& my dear hubby won't mind if he tags along I'm sure; anything to keep the Mrs. amused, eh?!) Hope your cold is better today :-)

Response from morgaine_dulac (Reviewer)

Nice work! And I hope you are having a S-e-v-e-r-u-s Year.

Response from Sevvy (Author of Seasons of Reasons)

Thank you for the review!  Sorry about the delay in responding but I have only just come back from a fortnight's holiday - it was a nice 'welcome home' present to receive a review - so doubly thanks; glad you enjoyed it!

of course it is better late than never. And for many people here the year starts with joining this excellent club, which could be in the middle of summer, any time! so, I am glad you posted your poem. thank you! and a severus year to you!"Each time we see our Prince appear..." grand!

Response from Sevvy (Author of Seasons of Reasons)

Thank you for your kind review.  Sorry about the delay in responding but I've been away on holiday (literally just got back to find this in my e-mails!)  It made a nice 'welcome home' to find you had reviewed; I'm glad you enjoyed my little poem!
