I am a slytherin in hufflepuff clothing.
I read therefore I am.
I write therefore I amuse myself.

What a cute story, and full of unlikely pairings. Potter/Parkinson pales in unlikelyness beside Granger/Malfoy. A good tale, amusing and original. I liked how we got to fit the pieces together as we read Pansy's whinging
""Hermione is fluent in Slytherin now" is a nod to "The Nothing Fights" a wonderfully funny dm/hg story by somandalicious" ... that can be found at ???I loved your story, BTW

Have you any idea where I might find "The Nothing Fights". I'd like to read it after you praise of it.

mmmmmmm - biscuits. If you have biscuits on a dirty floor, you'll need to take a shower, no?~waggles eyebrows~I've edited the author's note to include two links to TNF(d'oh)
Oh yeah - better refuse to be his mommy right from the start!

Indeed.
This was a cute one. I can relate to Pansy's confusion regarding temperatures and measurements only the other way around. I have a cookbook written by a woman from the U.K. and I, being from the U.S. have often had trouble in the translation. Also I did not understand for the longest time why everyone is always eating "biscuits" in these stories. To me biscuits are something you eat with sausage and gravy. Lo and behold I come to discover that biscuits are what we Yanks call cookies. I would not wish to have gravy on my cookies thank you very much.Fun story by the way thanks!!

Thank you.Back in the early 90's before I had internet, I was reading a slew of Elizabeth George mysteries in which the protagonists were always eating digestive biscuits.Luckily, I worked at a library and one of my favorite patrons was a british ex-patriot. That lovely older gent had lots of fun clearing up cultural confusions for me.Digestive biscuits, are, as it turns out, cookies with a bit of something like ex-lax in them. A friend of mine went to grad school in England and she has a funny story about chocolate digestive biscuits and *that* time of the month.
Great story, really funny and true to life. I've known so many women who try to act the mother to get in good graces. Harry/Pansy isn't one I've seen before, but it did work out. Good one!

Thank you - that is exactly what I was going for - a lovely compliment!PPHP is fairly rare, but there is a smallish group of us working on that.
Interesting! Though I must admit, I'm sad- I thought you were going to have Hermione with Severus. Rats. Hmmm, wonder why Ginny said no?

Sorry about no ss/hg - the riff on slytherin fluency wouldn't have worked (as it wasa tribute to a dm/hg story) with that pairing :-)Ah - in my mind, Ginny said yes. They were engaged for a while, but figured out it wouldn't work before they actually got married. (and called off the engagement amicably). The reason? Different goals in life, or maybe their ideas of each other didn't match reality. And that explains why Harry would take his time with Pansy and not want to rush into anything.
