Reviews for Gloomy Day
Wow, I never thought I could dislike Petunia Dursley more that I already did.
Well done :)
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Heh, it's so easy to really dislike her...Thank you! :)
i think you hit the situation spot on. thanks
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Thank you!
Petunia's attention to the cholesterol content of her milk had me chuckling. I suppose young Harry is to blame for her having lost sight of that detail. :)Severus's message to Petunia was absolutely perfect.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Heh, I figured she's one of them characters who worries about that kind of thing... Of course Harry is to blame :)Thanks! *pats the shinies*
I'm glad for Severus' warning (threat?). She would have been capable of depositing him in front of a church or God only knows where else.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Yeah, I think she would have been perfectly capable of doing just that, and Severus knew her well enough...Thanks for your lovely review and the stars!
what a stupid bitch! That poor, poor baby
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Indeed!Thank you for reviewing and the stars!
I shouldn't but I found this funny... in a sick sort of way. Oh, poor, poor Petunia, having to have a much gloomier life because of the thing. It's quite sad that a baby could be tought of as such. And I bet Vernon just ignores those milk bottles on purpose, the lazy jerk. So, it wasn't Dumbly's heartfelt letter that convinced Tuney to keep Harry, then, after all, was it?
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
I think I understand. I once knew someone like that, and I could imagine JKR did as well and based Petunia on that person. It is sad, I wholeheartedly agree.*grins* It was one of the missing scenes. Thanks for the review and the stars, Deb!
Very nice. :) I liked it.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Thank you! And thank you for providing me with the inspiring prompt!*pats the shinies*
i couldn't resist a quick doodle of snape in an old-fashioned pinstripe suit after i read this.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Wow! Do you have it uploaded on the net anywhere? Thanks for letting me know!
Response from theslacker (Reviewer)
no, not at all, it's just a scribble. i don't even know where i'd put it to show you! if you'd like to see it and have an idea, though, i'm willing to upload it...
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
well, there is livejournal, there is deviantart, there is photobucket... Would love to see it!
Response from theslacker (Reviewer)

*gasps* Is this your first work? Cuz, you know, I'd love to see more of it! You're obviously very talented!
very well done. i like that snape is there doing the right thing in his own inimitable fashion. and your depiction of petunia's attittude is horrifying, albeit accurate.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Thank you, kitty! I see Petunia exactly that way, and I agree, it is horrifying, but there just are people like that around...*pats the shinies*
Wow, gloomy is right. That whole situation could not have been easy for her.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
I'm sure it wasn't. I'm also sure that had she had a different outlook on life and been less judgemental, her life could have been a great deal happier. :)Thanks for reviewing!
Oh how wretched a woman, calling Harry a thing! :But we know how things will go. Interesting that Severus gave her a warning. nice oneshot.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
It is how I see Petunia. Thanks for reviewing!
Your characterizations were spot-on. Well done!
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Thank you, Professor!*pats the stars*

Interesting point of view... Great little story!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Well is this an indication of starting as we intend to carry on? Now you just need to rewrite all seven books:) You can do it! Irish
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Uh, yeah, right... LOLThanks for reviewing! *pats the shinies*
Oooooo! Chilling! What a nice, tasty morsel to wake up to! :)
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Thanks, Lyn! LOL I'm not sure where it came from; usually I tend to make it all light-hearted... :)
“I don’t care how you treat Potter’s spawn, but if he dies under your care, you will have the entire wizarding world after you...Gee, normal people just say: Good morning.Thank you for a good read for breakfast./M
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
LOL!This is by far the darkest I've ever written. But I found there is some attraction there... *snort*Thanks for your lovely review! *pats the shinies*
Potter's spawn. Now, that's scathing, even for Snape!
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Yes, I agree. But I figured Snape was utterly devastated. After all, with Lily dead, his last hope of even watching her from a distance was shattered...Thanks for the review! *pats the shiny stars*
I can just see how this played out. A great take on a missing scene! I can also imagine Severus being very embittered at that moment, so it fits.Funny how he knew her disposition enough to warn her. Otherwise, I could see her getting rid of the unwanted "thing." Lovely job, dear.
Response from karelia (Author of Gloomy Day)
Thank you! I'm glad you think so. :)
