Hermione Granger knows many things, how to survive a war among them. But one thing she doesn't have a clue about is love. What happens when she finds herself with feelings for someone that she can't decipher? An unrequited Hermione/Remus fic which nonetheless has a happy ending.

Reviews for The Snow Always Melts with the Coming of Spring
This is such a beautiful story of friendship, respect, and perhaps budding love... contrasted with hateful, spiteful and denigrating jealousy.Well done!beth

Why thank you for your beautiful review. It's quite different to the other things I've written, but I have to say I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out.
It's terrible when a friendship with a teacher is so misunderstood. I had such a frien with a Biology teacher. Rumors started and the next thing I knew he was being suspended. Even though many students came to his defense, and my parents as well, he quit his job. Is sad, but the girl who started the rumors did so because she wasn't passing his class. At Least Snape gave her respect and kept the 'crush aspect' to himself and Albus handled the sisuation well.

Yes, I know. Sadly, it happens. People can be really spiteful sometimes. And in response to the Snape point: I loved writing that bit. I don't see Snape as a complete bastard, so I decided to make him nice. I think he knows what's his business and what's not. Plus, I'm also a HGSS shipper and I can never decide between Remus or Snape for Hermione! Thanks for reviewing.
Soooo painful. It makes me hurt to think that they are kept apart, but it's very beautiful. Odd isn't it, that suffering and pining are considered beautiful. Maybe it's just me? Great writing!

Yeah, it's painful, but I think it's happy as well, because Hermione loves Remus and that's all that matters. It makes her feel on top of the world, and that makes her happy. Yeah, they are kept apart, but only because Hermione knows that she can't say anything. I don't know whether Remus returns her feelings, or even knows about them, though I think he probably would have guessed by the end. Good thing Hermione doesn't know, because she'd be mortified! Poor thing.
I feel sad for her, Ieven ache for her. Falling in love is never easy, but with a teacher who happens to be gay, it's foolish. But, as ever, heart has its own will that is sometimes beyond our comprehension.
