The Thoughts Of Severus Snape

This is what they think of me

I’m not the monster they believe me to be

I did what had to be done

But still, was it worth it?

Everything that I ever said was

With good intention

Truth, Justice, compassion, forgiveness and love

Only that we know what is right and what is fair

That is what matters

In the end

And yes

I do have a heart

Contrary to everyone’s beliefs

I put myself in danger to help another

But it’s too late

I won’t survive this

I guess that’s the best

I can’t forget all of this regret

This is my life

My sad and sorry pathetic, waste of a life

Well was it worth it?

Damn yes it is worth it. I firmly believe he is not dead and wherever he is, I hope he enjoys life. he deserves it more than anyone else for all the hard work and sacrifices he made most of his life.

I can understand completely the feelings Severus expresses. To do what had to be done, and do it well, he had to play his role such that both sides would believe the worst of him... the truth unknown to all but a few, and those few would not tell what they knew, for to do so would undo everything Severus and they had worked to accomplish for their whole lives. It was worth it, it had to be done, but at a terrible cost. I think you have captured the thoughts of the man, not the spy, at one of the lowest periods of his life. Well done!Beth
