I'm a 40-something old, happily married mother of a teenager, whose passion is reading, reading and - oh did I already mention - reading.
I live in Austria, so my native language is German (or better: a slang thereof), but since I was forced to learn English in school I reluctantly discovered my love for it.
Here at the Petulant Poetess I can combine my passions: reading, English and the Potterverse.
So far I'm mostly reading; I'm feeling comfortable enough to write the occasional one-shot, but I don't think I have skill to pen down a longer story. But who knows ...

Thank you so much, Rosedemon. It was my first attempt in writing something for more than a year.
A very funny little piece. Great job! And Dudley, punching the kid who said his line.... xD

Isn't Dudley punching the kid a bit of foreshadowing his future? Thank you for telling me you liked it.
A nice glimpse into Harry's childhood before Hogwarts. I just hate those Dursleys. They deserve being humiliated.

I'm glad you liked it. And thank you for taking the time to leave me a review.
Oh what an adorable, touching story! It was very well written and reminiscent of JKR's style - you stayed true to canon, and I applaude you for it. Brava!

*Bows*Thank you for your kind words.
Really cute. I loved young Harry's attitude, the patience he had and the thrill of 'being part' of it. I especially liked how happy he was to simply see the Christmas lights. It was nice that as a father, he got to see his sons do the same and that it brought back the happy memory for Harry. Thank you for giving this to us.

I think for Harry so many things held wonders, completely unspoilt that he was.Thank you for reading this little story.
I really enjoy these Yule Challenge stories cuz they usually give us a view of the "might-have-beens" in the characters lives. It warms my heart that Harry had this memory to fill the lonely hours when he had to listen to the rants and raves of Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, or "Dudders."Cool to see James and Albus appearing in their own children's play! Thank you.Beth

Yes, for some time this memory might have been enough to produce a Patronus.Thank you for reading and telling me that you liked it.
This was lovely. Harry had few 'happy' memories of his childhood, so it's nice to see him have this one -- especially since it involved 'Dudders' making a fool of himself. Thanks for sharing.

I think for Harry it only took someone who showed him that he/she cared to produce a "happy" memory - poor thing.Thank you for reading and letting me know that you liked it.
Very cute. I liked how Harry helped Mary.
Oh, this is wonderful! You brought the images of the school christmas play to life, here, and you gave it such a tang. It rings true, in both Harry's childhood and adulthood.
I used to participate in these sorts of school plays when I was a child. In reminds me of such happy memories. Thank you so much for the sweet trip in the past.
