I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

Oh, yay! Thanks for showing us this glimpse of the good times and sharing that hope. I love the thought that Severus always wears those high collars to hide his little necklace. Their gifts were so perfect, and I'm glad Severus banished the Lily thing once and for all. Now he waits, and we wait.

I just loved the "One Mind -- One Heart" necklaces. And the little replica of Hermione reminding Severus exactly how she feels was a great touch.Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked that little necklace thing. It really showed Hermione how he felt, just like Half-pint Hermione showed Severus how she felt.

Oh, my gosh, I know. It just brings in the holiday spirit to have fun stories spun around Christmas like this. All of the challenge entries have been so fun to read!
That is the perfect missing scene for your story! It also explains how he could make it through all those years when she is too young to know AND when he is sure that he is unworthy of love at all.

Thank you! When I saw the prompt, it just begged me to be written. It does give Severus a 'little' something to keep him sane, don't you think?
This story is perfect for the season. I love the gifts they chose... they spoke volumes about how well they know and understand each other.Severus has a treasured book, one Hermione picked out for him because she had taken the time to learn what was important to him.They each now wear one-half of a medallion that, when joined, declares their love for and commitment to each other. The necklaces will be a constant reminder to each of them that the day will come when they can be together always.Well done!Beth

First, I have a question. How do you manage to write three Christmas fics, and all brilliant? I am in awe of your talent!! This was so cute, you could really just feel the love between Sev and Hermione. I also personally enjoyed the fact that Sev told Lily that Hermione was a better woman! Woot! Go Severus!

Yay, Sev, you show Lily! As for the fic writing, these two for the challenge were somewhat planned out. I've wanted to do some short one-shots for Time's Treasure for a while, this just happened to be a great opportunity. The 12 days story just popped into my head without warning. It screamed at me until I wrote it down and got it right. It might have something to do with the fact that my girls and I are doing the 12 days of Christmas for some of their friends, so the silly song has been fresh in my mind for most of the month now.Thanks for your wonderful words. When she went and purchased her miniature it clicked in my brain Severus listening to it after a hard day.
