A 30-something Estonian who started lurking around HP fanfic sites in 2006, reading SS/HG almost exclusively.

After a while, I got up the courage to start leaving a few comments, then stumbled into the SS/HG corner of LiveJournal, and have now been bullied encouraged into trying my hand at a bit of writing, too.

I have no illusions about ever becoming a great writer, but it's fun and a good way to practice my English.

Professor Snape is such tired man... not sleeping very well, wandering the corridors late at night.  And apparently Hermione isn't sleeping any better.  To bad she couldn't invite him to the kitchens for a cup of tea... perhaps they would have talked and both could have gone to their quarters and gotten a good night's rest.  We all need friends.Great little drabble.  I'm sure he took the one point from Gryffindor because he thought it might be bad form to let her wandering go without doing anything.Boy!  You said a whole lot in just a few words, didn't you?  Beth

Response from Mint Stick (Author of Night)

Thank you so much! That was pretty much what I meant, yes. And yes, we all need friends - hey, maybe the next time they meet like that, that tea might happen. I'm sure he took the one point from Gryffindor because he thought it might be bad form to let her wandering go without doing anything.Quite, yes!

Nice drabble. I like how he took a point away from her...cute. ~Jen

Response from Mint Stick (Author of Night)

Thank you! And yes - I think he only did that out of a sense of duty, anyway.

An interesting little snapshot of two lost people, but truthfully, it feels unfinshed to me.

Response from Mint Stick (Author of Night)

Thank you for the comment! I do realise it's rather open to interpretation, but I felt it said all I wanted it to say. I certainly don't expect everyone else to feel the same though!

One point, eh?  The man must have a crush on her or something.

Response from Mint Stick (Author of Night)

Who knows! That's certainly one possibl interpretation.Thank you for the comment!

I don't know what to say. I feel meditative about the thing. It definitely needs something more. Another chapter perhaps *grin* Snitchette, the sequel sucker

Response from Mint Stick (Author of Night)

Thank you. I did consider expanding it a bit (perhaps to a double drabble), but felt it would have diluted what I wanted to express, and thus decided against it. I don't know about a sequel, but muses work in mysterious ways, so who knows!

Invites to thoughts, that one. Thanks for sharing. /M

Response from Mint Stick (Author of Night)

Thank you! I'm glad you found it thought-inspiring.
